TSK, TSK, Jet! Look at the filth! How do you sleep at night knowing your rig is that dirty? What next, leave the piston at TDC with no ARO and fuel in the tank?
 LOL, you know RevoRancher hit me on the same thing when I first posted that pic on another thread! That was taken after the "Last Blast" at Uncle Joes, all weekend racing and the 30 minute main (or 20 I can't remember now). Took it when I got back home and was getting ready to scrub it down. We made a huge mess at the hotel, 3 guys, racing gear and two vehicles each. I would have felt guilty blasting it down in the tub!

Oh yeah, me took 3rd.

yeah, jet, that does look simpler than what he's got. i actually had somebody describing that mount to me after i posted earlier. where can i get one? or did you just mod the box?

^^^^^Ding, ding, ding, ding.. Now you get the kiss from Richard Dawson! LOL

Yeah TS, TecknoRC, you can order direct from them or some shops are carrying them. Check with Bruce I thought I may have seen them on RushRC too.

You have the FOC on that, right? Thought it looked a bit bare behind that servo.

So Rancher, did Dawson tongue ya?
Yessum! You mean your micro servo hasn't locked up yet? Actually if you think you might race do the FOC! You lose a fair amount of weight and more importantly...rotational mass! Beleive me, I was quite suprised at the off the line punch just from shedding a few un-needed gears!

Jet's been sniffing the MEK again! :wasted:

BTW, I left my linkage stock as it bolts right up to the RB carb, but I modded the brake a bit by slipping a bit of spring into the fuel line. Makes for even more stiffer braking.

Hey, that stuff is bad juju! Most places have banned it's use. It gives me the shakes! I actually rotate between meth and crack, this way I don't get to used to one and my habit gets bigger! :thankyou:

Yes, but I then stopped using them. Really after the BB did not make a difference.

Yeah, I'm considering going the FOC route. I'm on reverse servo 3, but in all fairness, servo number 2 was a hack job by me, so it was only a matter of time before that thing crapped out.

Rancher, when you say added a spring inside the fuel line, is the spring the same length as the fuel line? Shorter? Longer? I like the idea of adding some snap to the braking.

just thought i'd add this, with FOC and pull start the truck weighs right at half a pound less. i did a before and after weigh-in on mine out of curiousity.

MW, I just used about 3/4's of the spring that came on the brake, cut tubing the same length, and then adjusted the linkage. I had already adjusted the linkage at the servo end to make more throw for the RB carb. It really gives some solid braking, and still allows for some cushioning and modulation.

And if you do not like the mod, it is easy to undo in the field. I like slamming brakes. I try to drive with the throttle only, but when I want brakes, I WANT BRAKES!

How much fuel are you guys running through the truck before the reverse servo fry's? Just curious how long I have. Also, how much did you use reverse?

Although, I adjusted my reverse linkage so that when it's in forward gear, it's pressing just hard enough to compress the spring a little bit, so there's hardly any load against it 98% of the time. Even with proper adjustment, there isn't a whole lot of load on it when it's in reverse either. Just enough to engage and bend the spring a bit.

But I've barely run a gallon through it so far. I've toasted two stock steering servo's and one throttle servo. The little micro reverse servo is original.
