Hey guys, i'm new here.

I bought my Revo 3.3 a week ago, and have been having a lot of fun with it. Well my 16 yr old brother was begging to play with it and i warned him that accidents are hard to avoid... Well he begged and said he'd be careful, but you know how it goes.

We had a small jump set up in the back yard and he was making them. Then he started to gun it and i warned him not too. He persisted and landed a little hard, (this was on the grass).

Well now as a result i have a front lower right suspension arm that is not broken mind you, but the metal pivot ball that connects to the axle carrier (I'm a newb, going by the anatomy terms in the owners manual) has popped out of the socket on the axle carrier. Heres some pix to better show you whats wrong:

He got a good yelling at and hopefully he learned his lesson, but i need your guys' help on making the fix.

Dumbed down help would be much appreciated. Bare with me here, i already feel embarrassed not knowing how to fix this by my self.

Help guys please. I really need it. The guys at my local hobbie shop are all enormous pricks.

Thanks,

Will

Temporary fix, screw the ballstud completely out of the arm, noting how far it is threaded in before you remove it. Remove the tire. Remove the blue plastic dust cap on the carrier, the one closest to the wheel. Leave the inner one on. Find the little grey plastic 4-way wrench that came in your kit. Use the end that looks like the top of a castle to unscrew the pivot ball retainers inside the hole on the carriers. Put the pivot ball through the empty hole, replace the pivot ball retainer thingy. Do not overtighten it, the pivot ball must move freely with as little play as possible. Then screw the pivot ball back into the lower suspension arm with a 2.5mm alan wrench. Replace the blue dust cap and wheel.
Note; Once the pivot ball pops out once, the plastic carrier is now stretched and will continue to pop out easily. A new is recomended for a proper fix. A lot of us prefer aluminum carriers because they do not pop off.

Aluminum is ok, but I preferred RPM. They run larger bearings and are generally indestructable.

The only thing you need to take care to avoid is to allow the suspension to really articulate. Like with the LT rockers.

I had the best luck with them running the P2 rockers (stock on the 3.3) with the arm hight not at the highest position. I ran RPM arms as well and they had 3 positions on the arm to mount the pushrods. I used the middle one. When I used the high one, they would pop through like yours did.

When mine popped through with my stock carriers, they broke. After buying 3 sets of stock (within the first month or so of owning it)... I went with RPM. I ran the same RPM carriers for around 2 years.
