Revo 2.5 and E-Revo transmition

Will a E-Revo tranny work in a Revo 2.5? Debating on buying an E-Revo brushless transmition on eBay for the Revo 2.5 or converting to brushless using the throttle/break servo instead. Any ideas?

Nope will not work. The e revo tranny is direct drive you need the owb clutch that is in the nitro tranny or you will strip stuff out

even for a Brushless Conversion? I thought the E-Revo Brushless tranny could handle the power? I'm converting a nitro to a BL.

Oh sorry my bad I missed that part. Duh....then yes it will work. I guess I need to go to bed. Yeah that should be no problems and be easier. Sigh....read what I wanted to in it....lol
