I will get some pictures together hear shortly of my slash but I first wanted to check the battery…. there’s no way this thing is in good shape right??? 5000mah 25c venom battery last used in 2019 can’t tell you how old it is though but I plugged into my hobbywing program box and it showed this…

Haven't seen them stickers in a long time. Novak ain't around anymore

Had that same Proline Silverado body for mine. It's trashed now. They discontinued it though. Currently run the Jconcepts Silverado which is more boxy then the Proline version

I have a pile of 3 titan Traxxas motors if you want to add to your collection 😁 😆

so first look at the slash, it seems to be in pretty decent shape surprisingly! the tires that are sitting on are the original ones lmao, the bag that has tires in it are pre-mounted aka gridiron for the rear and then pre-mounted duratrax posse for the front. the car is quite dirty front running it on clay so I will take apart and clean it, the front shocks seem to be empty they are upgraded but I got no clue what the upgrade even is, the rear shocks should be the same upgrade but I have no idea they seem to have held fluid though lol, I might just buy a brand new replacement set and call it a day. I will need to chase down what broke exactly on the esc which cable at least but it can run at a minimum. it looks like I have almost all the original chassis plastics too minus what ever I broke on the car before, I will get it on the table and start looking more thoroughly. I also have bags of just miscellaneous parts like an extra spur and pinion? found a lone wheel hex adapter too lmao but this will be a fun project to get ready for carpet racing. I surprisingly had an set of wheels with no tires so I guess i’ll glue up the carpet tires I have coming for on to those

yeah the pile of stickers surprised me because I don’t think I even have novak stuff🤣🤣 I just collected I guess idk

Not bad at all, especially given its age.
that’s what I was thinking? i’m guess i’d be okay to charge it then ? I did get lipo safe bags in the mail at least so i’ll toss it in that

also peep the servo wire coil I remember doing that cause it was so long and didn’t need to be

also to give you an idea how old this is😂😂😂 I have radio shack batteries bought from hobby town🤣🤣🤣

3.78 and 3.65. a bit unbalanced. Might be able to get it balanced again. IRs would be able to determine that.

Posted on your post in the first state hobbies group. I'll see what they say.

About running mine on the track in 13.5 if I get a combo for it.

how do I check IR? I might throw it on the chantier and see what happens

so you comment too I don’t see why we couldn’t run lol

also peep the one guy telling me it’s not a slash🤣🤣

If your charger has a setting called internal resistance then that's how 😉

Well your current charger atleast.
I think my charger that I currently have might but I don’t have traxxas leads but my old charger is very basic so it doesn’t have that😂

so battery checked said one thing but my D6 says this for the cells? so I think the battery might actually be pretty good

does anyone think they could possibly explain this choice I made?? 90t spur gear with 16t pinion, I have an 86t spur and 23t pinion as well

so based on the plastic pieces I do have the beginnings on another slash chassis lmao would be missing a lot of pieces and then the traxxas tax on parts but i could possibly build a stock slash from scratch if I could find a parts list and find everything I need lol

16/90 was the stock XL5 brushed gearing and 23/86 is the stock VXL gearing. I run 23//86 in mine and send it. Rarely does it over heat anyways lol

3.80 and 3.79 is more balanced now. Not sure but @WickedFog probably knows. There's probably a separate page in there for reading IRs on the Hota.

Well since First state said I can't run my traxxas cars, followed up with the factory and they said I can race them in their open class so looks like Ill be going to the factory more, but ill make plans to stop by first state to meet up with the old BACH guys from the old track.

interesting I wonder why I have both but used the brushed gearing then lol

hmm I tried looking but didn’t see anything i’ll give it a google see if anything comes up

Its better to keep it since you won't get alot of money back in the long run. Thats why I tend to keep all of my cars 🤫 🤣

Imagine me still trying to race my slash in 2045 while Tekno is on the SCT410 6.0 or something lol
