what is the best method for repairing a cracked lid.
Buy a new one.

Hell, Sky ran an E-Maxx lid on his T-Maxx and that lid was cracked, smashed and bashed but it kept on going. Never repaired it or anything just kept adding damage to the lid.

Personally I buy a new lid when I destroy a lid but that's just me.

Think shoo goo could fix this one?

Ok, Sky's e-maxx body has nothing on that one. Here's a pic of the supports that the K-3 comes with:

The stuff is about twice as thick as the actual body.

I looked that one up for you Chris and they didn't mention anything about the supports. It might have been a last minute item they added but didn't add to the manual.

I am truly impressed. My body was turned into an accordian, cracked all over, and losing paint everywhere...but it always resembled a truck. That thing in the picture looks like a puzzle waiting for someone to put it together. Nicely done.

Yes, Olds97, Shoo Goo would work. Cover the body with about 2 or 3 tubes of it, then ignite it and use the light from the fire to install a new lid.

Now that's something I've never tried.... WL, Padiwan, I have a little project for you...

El - That strip for the nose is supposed to work pretty good from what I have read.

I'm surprised it was already backed with adhesive. Ill have to drop Kyosho a line and ask them what is supposed to be used to mount it. Epoxy etc. ( Yes there are 2 part epoxies that can be used on oil impregnated surfaces without destroying them lol ).

I just wonder what they want you to use, since more than likely it would have to be something strong.

I used shoo goo for the body reinforcement nose and tail pieces on my K3. Put on a thick layer then pressed them into place. Don't know it this is the right way, but it works.
