i have a nitro stampede and when i step about 6 feet away from the truck and move the steering it wont turn but when i walk up to it it starts to work and i was jux wondering do you no what the problem is i think its the receiver but not sure. and i have checked for loose wires and servos and their in working order.thanx. :)

have you checked the batteries? has the car ever flipped where the wire scraped the ground? has the reciever ever gotten wet? is the antenna screwed all the way into the tansmitter? and do you pull it out all the way?

Are you running a fresh battery or fresh RX Rechargeable pack? Is your Antenna wiring frayed? How about the Batteries in your TX?

Make sure you have fresh batteries in your receiver pack and radio. Make sure you haven't damaged or shortened the antenna wire in a roll over. You might need to open the receiver case to make sure it hasn't pulled loose inside.
Check the antenna on the radio. Make sure it's threaded in tight.
Check the contacts on both crystals. If a pin wiggles on a crystal, replace it.

the batteries is brand new and the led light is green it has flipped but the wire is in excellent condition with no sign of a torn or frayed spot it has never been in any kind of water and the antenna is in all of the way because i checked that before i started it up and i always pull the antenna all the way out, the antenna has broke off before and we put it back on by cutting to fresh wire and then soldering it back on, this is the second time weve had to put it back on. do yall think i should jux get another receiver.thanx.

Have you pulled the RX wire too hard? You state that you have soldered it back on so is it a clean solder job? You want to see it have a shiny look to it. ALso if you put too much solder you can create an "Antenna" type connection. That could cause radio intereference. Was there any solder splash anywhere on that RX PCB? You also stat that you cut it and put a fresh wire, ARe you replacing it with the same length of wire?

it could be the batteries in the transmitter not putting enough out. Are the bats fresh in that i havent seen anyone say that just skimmed though. IF you have another Tx unit that is compatable with whatever type rx you have [am or fm] [freq matching]. Change the xstals if you have another set. Good luck

i cut the wire to where it was fresh wire and then soldered it and it was a clean solder without any drips over every other thing in it. it could be from where i cut the wire. ill jux buy another one for about 20 bux. thanx guys.
