Receiver or Crystal problem?

just got a new remote for my Cen genesis and I've changed the crystal in the am receiver to the same as whats in my remote and it wont seem to work what i am doing wrong sorry I'm new to the hobby?

The crystals are labeled, one is for the receiver"rx" and one is for the transmitter"tx"...make sure there in the proper device,

do i have to change the reciever or just the crystals the remote come with one but only a two channel and my original is 3 ?

I've had rx and tx that were compatible and I've also had others that were not, try a matching set of crystals that you know work,....

Batteries are all good and all wires hooked up correctly? Servos getting power? Does your old transmitter still work?

I've managed to get the remote to work but they have swapped round forward and back are now the steering any ideas?

I've managed to get it working properly the cable was in the wrong channel slot (i didnt know at the time but i read up on it) thank you for your help

Sure pal.......next time buy a 2.4 system and leave the crystals off at the rc museum, lol
