well I'm looking for bearings for my Kyosho Ultima ST Tower said the ones i needed were 5x10mm ones so i was like aight and ordered them and theyre way too small so what I'm trying to do is see if any of you guys know the actual size of the outer crankshaft bearing (smaller one) I'm thinking its a 5x14mm but not sure it could possibly be a 5x12mm just wanna see if anyone knows for sure

First take the bearing out of the engine,
Then look in the yellow pages for a local bearing supplier
Take the bearing over there and have them match it up
Most of the same size engines use the same size bearings, not all but most.
You could also go to your LHS and match them up with an OS or other manufacturers bearing.

i already did bring it to the LHS and he said it was either a 5x12 or 5x14 and he wasn't able to match it up with any because he is out of stock in those sizes

OK, Let you fingers do the walking
There is a serial number on the metal shield
you may need a magnifing glass to read it
when you call the bearing supplier give them that serial number
They'll tell you if they have the bearing

Cheaper than a LHS too

BUMP ca'mon need some help wanna get this thing going again

Got a ruler?

12mm is just shy of 1/2"

14mm is just shy of 9/16"

Your LHS had the bearing in their hands and they couldn't give you the specs?? How do people get by without a set of calipers?

Bearings are not magical bits of metal only intened for use on RC cars. Bearings are used in tons and tons of stuff.

Take the bearing and walk it into a good automotive supply and show it to the guy behind the counter. You will leave with a new bearing(s) that is the proper size.

aight thanx alot guys thats the help i was looking for i guess its a 12mm it at the 1/2" spot and i was thinkin the auto place might have it but wasn't sure if theyd have any that size but i guess ill stop by Auto Zone tomarra

ewww Auto Zone is bad in my expirence. I don't think they will have the bearings, but you can try. You need to hit the place where a mechanic would go. If you walk in and there is way more stuff behind the counter than there is in front of it, you got the right place.

The first thing you'll notice are stools at the counter where the fake leather is cracked and showing the stuffing underneath. I don't care where you go ... it always looks the same ...

well I'm gunna goto AutoZone first cause its close but if they dont have it I'm gunna goto a place called Lacava's then have anything and everything but is a good deal away from where i live
