Re issues forgotten...

There are a ton of companies pushing the nostalgia fix. I have no issue with that...and may even part with some cash at some point because of it.
The real question is what haven't they brought back that's missing. Not every re release was faithful to the previous design...or maker...hhmmm. I just think there is a lot of wiggle room fir creativity here.
I mean ....I kind of want a 1/10 scale version of the raco jackrabbit...in electric. Even if that means I have to call it a JRc-10...

The SRT and TCP were the last of the great kits from Traxxas. I would have to get me one of these if a re-re ever came to market. Absolutely wonderful.

number one:

i'd argue this is the BEST mini scale rc vehicle (downsized 8th scale truggy = will handle everything you throw at it and more, compact so easy to lug around, uses standard 1/10th scale truck tires/wheels)

that said if this thing somehow comes back (HongNor, the OEM of this thing, said they might make an X5 truck depending on how the (I)X5B is perceived, which so far seems to be a fan favorite, so maybe they'll hop on the nostalgia train and make an X.5T), it's gotta do away with the weird A-arm front suspension AND be available as either a nitro or electric car

number two, from HPI:

considering the savage's been sold for 20+ years and counting, there's no way they can't bring this little pocket rocket back to scratch that itch of a micro sized touring car

I keep telling myself I'm gonna build a rwd general lee from scratch. Tiny tranny like a traxxas 1/16 series and a live axle from a crawler. A light weight 10th scale car with a tenth scale system for gobs of torque.

hell id be down for that, price pending. but only if it was supported like it was 20+ years ago. good selection of licensed bodies, plenty of wheel and tire options. and some aftermarket love.

which reminds me, while on topic of HPI. like the RS4 2 but M size. used to want the nitro, but these days i probably just go electric.

Kyosho Maxxim FF, Lazer ZXS Evo, maybe a run of Kyosho Vanning with some upgrades like belt, brushless setup, better servo.
Nitro would also have to be avail of course!

I would like to make a couple changes to the rerelease Optima Mid too. The '87 gear, belt and drive system were better but it needed a modern slipper. So I'd do that.
The new ball diff either needs to be metal or redesigned or just use the old design.

A belt tensioner that doesn't limit the gear size in the rear transmission could be an easy add on too.

I'd like to see somone start repopping vintage Novak and Tekin Esc's.

Old twin stick radio (for surface) but with new tech inside would be fun.

Tycos were what me and my buddies had. My friend Ryan had the Fast Traxx, I had a Wild Thing in black

It would need to be a re re because the prices of good used examples are insane.

The local hobby group that ran the club let me run with them. Good times.
