I'm never sure what to run. I ran one with the low power then did 12 minutes of practice with my regular setup and was about the same result. I could click off a faster lap but I mess up alot more with the faster setup.

Yep, there's a trade off. You just have to practice and play with the car set up to get it adjusted to your driving style. If you can pin point specific problems I could maybe suggest an adjustment to try.

I'm getting the same results, I'm getting pretty smooth with the low power set up but with the faster set up I get excited and hit the throttle when I should be taking it easy LOL. I have adjusted the car from not wanting to turn all the way to it want to roll over when I turn the wheel.

My tx has an ARC adjustment(Adjustable Rate Control). It can control how fast the servo reacts to my input. So I made it so it was slow, when I hit the gas it would not instantly accelerate. It helped me keep from spinning out coming out of the turns. It is separate for the brake and throttle.

I was also bad about running too deep into the turn so I had the brake force(game set up) turned up.

Join up and race when you can Josh. It's all for fun and smack talk. You can play spoiler in the points race.

The guy pulls a couple of near flawless races out of his arse and now has delusions of grandeur.

I certainly hope he can continue the run since he now has to race farther back from his monitor due to the head swelling.:p:

:wheee:

I best start practicing on this weeks track.

:hehe: Hopefully the swelling will go down soon

Thats all I need is for my points to be one less every time.

Round 7 - Speedway

Once again for round 7,we're back the oval of R/C Speedway. Admittedly a little under the weather, robmob came out racing and held the lead for the first three laps. After a slow 4th place start,on lap 4 Racer 1966 took over the lead and never looked back. Racer 1966 pulls out another fantastic run to take the win by 6 laps, the biggest lead of the season so far. A fast car, fast pit stops and some good luck proved to be too much for second place robmob.

robmob was able to stay well in front of rest of the pack but the real race was behind him. NCNitro and slowngreen were in a fierce battle back and forth for 3rd. Evenly matched,it came down to line with NCNitro just edging past slowngreen by .021sec!

Giving them some competition for a while was abadk9420 and SMaxxin. They seemed to be matched well with them but a few problems sets abadk9420 back to finish 1 lap behind in 5th place. Bigger problem fell on SMaxxin and his day ends with his second DNF of the season.

This week we also welcome new racer darkslayor24. This was his first official VRC race. Although problems kept him back and out of the real race,it was not a bad showing. I'm sure he'll take the experience and use it well. It probably won't be long until darkslayor24 is fighting for rank and the other drivers will be having their hands full to ward him off.

In the points this week, they're starting to spread out a bit more. Racer 1966 takes the biggest lead of season so far with 4 points over second place robmob. NCNitro adds 1 to his 3rd place lead over slowngreen. While the DNF of 5th place SMaxxin and the new racer darkslayor24 keeps abadk9420 from dropping too far after his no-show last week.

Still plenty of races to go and anything can happen. Next week it's back to a road course. This time it's Heemstede. A some-what tricky track to tame, the results should be exciting! Let's race!
