Hey Joe are you talking about that slight curve in the middle of the back stretch? I hate that thing, I almost have to be stopped to drive through there or else I get throw clear across the track lol.

Yep, that stupid curve gave me more problems than any other corner on the track. If I try and go through there carrying any speed at all I get rolled over or chucked across the track every friggin time.

I'm not sure what it is about this track but I have no confidence when I'm on it, seems like every time I hit the throttle I'm in the grass....That roll me over curve on the back stretch is a pain, I quit trying to turn, I just hold the throttle down and hope I land close to the next curve.

Just spent 1/2 hour practicing at 103% grip. Too bad the race is at 101%. LMAO

2% does make a difference I will practice some more at the proper grip before making a run.

My biggest issue is making the race using only 1 pit stop. I think it's going to be tight.

Remember guys that this weeks race runs an extra day and will end on midnight Monday due to tomorrow being the 4th.

Next weeks race will start at the normal day and time. I'm sure you are all anxious to race on Oslo. LOL

I got a run in.

Pretty frustrating at times with the AI's. I got punted by one coming out of the pits later in the race.

Overall the run was OK. I may be able to squeeze 1 more lap.

I am a little surprised I wasn't able to break below 20 at any time. During practice, I was getting below 20 a little over a third of the time and had a fast lap of 19.2.

Randy shot his wad and put in 3 consecutive runs. I had my controller out and ready to run waiting for his final run to complete. Juuuuuuuuuuuuust a little short on his part.

Looks like I can put Fiorano behind me after only 1 run. I thought for sure I would have to put in another run. No way I can beat the fast lap. So there is nothing for me to gain and a lot to loose.

You guys that have some runs left might as well run them. Something may click and you could have the the mother of all runs. You never know. I have my controller handy just in case.

Nice job improving by 1 lap in each run Lloyd.

I just started practice on Oslo, with the exception of the pit lane it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I made a 10 min solo run, my times started out around 30 sec per lap but toward the end I was averaging around 22 per lap with a fast lap of 18.760. If I have time to practice during the week I should be ready for this one.

That's exactly right, I made it almost half way on the final lap and was thinking I may at least force you to run again then poop! Out of fuel. On top of that when I marshalled in and it didn't sit me in the fueling range and I had to marshall a second time.
On my first stop I was just about to cross the start/finish when I was notified to come in for fuel. I turned in at speed and zipped past the fuel box and then ran out of fuel before I even got out of the pit. For some reason I ran out of fuel way faster when racing online. For some reason I couldn't do a clean pit at all during the races.

I thought I was going to have to race today but came up with some time to kill yesterday. It didn't help that son had the tv on behind me either. Maybe I should have waited :\

OSLO fast lap is now 16.7, average lap is 18-19 with the ocasional 20-22 sec lap...If I could get through the pits I would feel pretty good about this track!

Round 4 - Speedway​

I apologize and I can't believe I forgot to write this review on the round 4 race at R/C Speedway. This was the closest finish of the season and a nail-biter all the way. At the line robmob squeaks by for the win by only .085sec over second place Racer 1966.

Racer 1966 led the first lap with the rest of the field separated by less than .5 seconds. abadk9420 was topping the rookies in the field and kept plenty of pressure on the leaders. He ended with the 3rd place on the podium. Now we've had a different rookie on the 3rd place podium each week. It may not be long before one gets a win.

Meanwhile NCNitro had a strong run but late race problems dashed his hopes for the podium. NCNitro also had the fastest lap of race and that raises the question of what if he had avoided all troubles? He may have been in contention for the win.

As the field separated a bit,at the back of the field another race developed between SMaxxin and slowngreen. They were back and forth and it was also a super close finish between them. slowngreen finds himself on the losing end as SMaxxin edges past him at the line by only a .325second margin!

In the points,once again the lead changes back to robmob by only 1 point and pushing Racer 1966 back down to #2. NCNitro remains in 3rd followed by slowngreen and then a tie between abadk9420 and SMaxxin.

I did talk with darkslayor24 and he says he does plan to race but is having some problems. The next round is at Fiorano Italy,maybe he can make this one.

Round 5 - Fiorano​

As round 5 ends we were treated to yet another exciting race for the VRC season. We finally have a first back to back winner and the first rookie to get second podium finish.

On the first lap the rookies all came out screaming. slowngreen took the early lead followed by abadk9420,Smaxxin,robmob,NCNitro and Racer 1966 in last. That quickly changed and robmob took over the lead within a few laps. Several faster laps by Racer 1966 put him right on robmob's bumper. Then pit problems cost Racer 1966 a lot of valuable time. To finish it off, Racer 1996's hope of regaining the points lead is lost by running out of fuel while chasing down robmob on the last lap. robmob goes on and gets to the checkered first.

A remarkable rookie performance is turned in by slowngreen this week . He put a hefty supply of pressure on the veteran racers as he led the first 2 laps of the race before a bobble dropped him back. He was never able to completely regain the speed afterward but hangs on for the 3rd place finish. Overall a great run by slowngreen and he is our first rookie to repeat a podium finish.

The road course blues hit the rest of the rookie field shortly after their good start and they all quickly faded to the back of the pack. SMaxxin winds up with a 4th place finish followed by NCNitro and then last weeks' top rookie abadk9420 rounds out the race with a dismal 6th place finish.

In the points,robmob bumps up his lead over Racer 1966. The fast lap bonus goes To Racer 1966 to keep that lead down to only 2 points. NCNitro still holds on to third as slowngreen takes over fourth followed by a tie between SMaxxin and abadk9420.

Next week is a trip to Oslo. Arguably one of the toughest pits in the series and that's combined with some poor track conditions for the race. How will the drivers handle the the tough conditions? I can't wait to find out! Green means GO!!!
