Sorry guys.

I am out. Almost 5 hours of driving down (traffic sucked) to my daughters gym meet on Friday night and another 4+ hours driving back today has my brain fried. I am simply not into sitting here staring at this screen for 25 minutes.

At least I have some laps logged. Any points are better than no points. Not that it really mattered.

I just put down a run. Not too bad, could have squeezed a few more in had I not had trouble with the AI cars a couple times, I acually got punted so far once it self marshaled, lol, fortunitely they didn't mess with me too badly overall. I would like to try again, but with the length of the race I think I may just stick with what I got now.

I don't think I'll try again either. I did realize that I seem to be able to focus better if I rest my Tx on my leg instead of holding it up in front of myself. It's not like I was getting achy or anything either. Focus is a funny thing, can't always explain why you have or don't have it.

Well I put a run in. I tried to go with 1 tire change and man was my car a handful to try to drive. I'm debating another run. I crossed the line .003 shy of 25min but it eneded my race and I'm only 1 lap behind Joe.

yeah, I had six stops in all. F, F/T, F, F/T, F, F

*edit*

FYI - I'm gonna be away this week so I won't be able to update the points table until I get back.

Big congrats to Rob on the '09 Championship! He made all of the races as some of us where unable to do and really stepped up his game this season. I'm not sure how everything else pans out. I'm sure you guys can do the simple math though. :)

I hope everybody had fun this year. I wish I would have been able to give Rob a better run for his money but like Jeff I've had my share of issues this summer that required closer attention.

As far as the '10 season goes there won't be any major changes to the racing format itself as far as the proposed handicapping system goes. That would simply require more spreadsheet work than I'm willing to put in at this point in my life and with the competition level as we've seen this year I don't think it's even necessary for the sake of entertaining competition. However, I do like the idea of holding single lap qualifying sessions prior to each race and rewarding the results with championship points. Also, I'll probably simplify the points system. Possibly something more along the lines of the current Formula 1 system.

Well I'm not running again. I think I could do better if I changed my tires every other stop, but I'm tired,I worked way too many hours last week.

Funny though, my 7.0 -7.1 car turned into a 6.8-6.9 car online.

yeah, my 6.6-6.7 car turned into a 6.7-7.0.

I had more than a couple run ins with the T4 wall. I had quite a bit more steering on the exit of 4 than I did into the entry of 3 so I needed to be a bit more active with the return to center from the center of the corner on out. If I adjusted too aggresively in the center of the corner the car would just take off into the fence. I think it happend at least 5 or 6 times but I didn't lose an enormous amount of time, maybe 2 seconds.

Got my best finish of my short season. Sucks it's over though, I was really getting in to it. Thanks for running the show Josh, and I look forward to next season.

If the points were tight I would have sucked it up and put in a legitimate run.

Thanks for the season Josh.

Thanks also to Randy and Joe for keeping the last few road races interesting. If the season began with the current skill levels, I suspect it would have been down to the wire to find out who won the series.

I am really looking forward to next season.

Rob is right. The level of talent is really tightening up. Next year should be really challenging. Qualifying for points stands to really shake things up as well.

I decided to run the daily challenge today on the VRC site, just to see how I would do against other people, I was pretty happy with the results. So watch out guys, I'll be gunnin for ya'll next season :D

I tried the same car and set up, but I had to make some minor adjustments. I couldn't find what the grip level was so I am assuming it's 100%. I did three runs on both types of car then my batteries died.
