I guess I didn't do too bad for my first race. After my first pit stop though the video got real choppy and messed me all up, thought I was gonna have a seizure, lol. I don't know if I should stick with the run I laid down or try again.

3 things to help that Joe. First, as everyone said, make sure all your other apps are closed. That way they're not eating up computing cycles.
Second, don't be afraid to set the game at it's lowest resolution. I have mine on low res with all effects turned off. Doesn't really affect the gameplay and helps the framerate.
Third, when you run the game, take a minute to reset it's priority. When the game starts, hit Ctl/Alt/Del to bring up your Windows Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab. Highlight vrcrace.exe. Right click on it. Click on Set Priority. Then click on High. It'll ask if you want to and just click OK. That'll put VRC at the top of the priority list and will smooth it's performance.

You're killing me man! lol. I can barely get around that track, I like oval sooooo much better, lol. Well this week you guys will see just how bad I really am.

BTW, is Speedway the only oval track available?

I absolutely hate oval and yes it's the only oval available on VRC. The good news for you is that it's the most visited track in our series and we have 2 more to go there.

Try using the generic slow/beginner setup for this weeks track. It will offer a lot more control and not go fast when you punch it. Use it to get a feel for the flow for the track. You can then start to tweak the setup when you get more comfortable. You must learn to crawl before you can walk.......

I didn't think I'd like racing the oval, but it's changing my mind.

I really like Cincy. I can't wait for the long race. I wish more of the tracks has as many turns like Cincy does.

92% You think that's bad. I was being nice when I set up the season. I think I can get down into the 80%'s, but I'll hold off on that until next year. Speaking of next year... as I've said before i've been pondering quite a bit on how to mix up this series a bit so that the points race becomes a little bit more interesting. I havn't nailed down the specifics yet but I do have a general idea on the format. At this time I will say it it includes single lap qualifying for each race, handicapping based on qualifying and a revamped points system which will include points for qualifying based on qualifying positions. However, everything is pretty much up in the air still depending on how I can configure the spreadsheet to do everything I want it to so that the math is all done automatically and I just copy/paste the results (as I do now).

I was trying a few set ups I poached off vrc for cinci, lets just say I will be lucky to get 30 laps in a half hour. Driving from the stand was not working for me at all, I was running 30 something laps from your typical playstation view, but it was making me feel like I was gonna puke by about 9 minutes, lol. I realy enjoyed the oval, even finishing dead last, but I just wasn't feeling the road course.

You'll get better Joe. Dont' sweat it. It's by no means an easy program to get the hang of. I'll say this though... it's absolutely amazing how much it has helped my understanding of setup and racing in real life. I took my RC18T racing on carpet once earlier this year and my car was completely junk when I took it out of the box. However, after a dozen or so trips out to the drivers stand and maybe 2 laps at a time I had gotten my car to the point where I was keeping up with the local front-runner. Every single thing I did to my car came from what I've picked up from VRC. It's no joke, it IS a true simulator and it WILL help you at the racetrack should you make it out.

Round 9 RC Speedway

Endurance racing here we are! Fifteen minutes may not sound very long for a race but 130 laps sure does. As one of the longest races of the season RC Speedway has hosted a very compelling race this weekend in which Candyman stole the show right out from underneath Lessen. A very tight race it was but possibly Lessen overthought his strategy a bit as his tire change on his second pitstop was probably his misfire this weekend. Lessen blew away the field with on-track consistancy and his average laptime was the best of all but "slow and steady" did not pan out this weekend. Behind the intense race for the win was a very close race for the third positin as Racer_1966 takes it to Robmob. Unfortunately, Racer was slightly outdriven this weekend but only by 4 turns after 116 laps. Bringing up the rear is a newcomer to the VRCNT series. NCnitro impressed many in his debut race with his official 100 lap run. More impressive may have been his 110 lap practice. At any rate, it was a very strong showing and I'm sure that we'll see big things from NC in future races. Next up is the grueling half-hour endurance race in Cincinatti, OH. Of all races on the circuit Cincinatti is most likely considered the home track to Lessen and would be a very big win for him if he can pull it off. The many turns of Cincy is a lot to take in for a newcomer but the Ohio racetrack is big and 30 minutes of racing is sure to bring issues for everybody at some point.

Tell me about it. I have tried a bunch of different set ups, and by the time I get to about the ten minute mark I am so frustrated I just shut it down. I can not get around this track at all. :marshall::censored:

I like Cincy, too. The turns are a bit technical, but it's a track you can really flow on. lots of room to run. Just have to be setup for the turns.
