Got my run in.
I have a feeling I didn't save my last setup change. In my final practice before I ran, I was consistent in the 19's and low 20's. Car felt good and glued to the track. When I ran my run it was loose and I had to really work at driving it. Run wasn't bad, but it was a struggle and now I am drained. I may try another one later if I feel up to it. The 15+ minute runs are brutal.

Figured out that I loaded the wrong track setup.
After looking at Josh's run, I determined that even with the right setup I could not get there. My best lap was in the mid 18's during practice which I would do several times in a run. Most were 19's and low 20's. At best I felt I could only add 2 more laps to my total which would not be enough so I just let it ride.
Of course I checked the times one last time before going to bed to make sure nobody snuck past me. :green-grin:

I too opted to not make another run. I know I could have added 2 laps but you already had 5 on me. I know I couldn't touch that! LOL

Oh goddaaaaammmiiitttt. Speedway? And I can't run with my controller? This sucks. It's like the only track I have a chance of beating anyone on!
I like it! Unless you guys come up with some incredible changes to your setups, I may have something for you this week. I ran one test last night,hit 7.0 - 7.2 very consistently.

Round 4 Heemstede

As the first quarter of the 2009 passes us by we are seeing no buck in the leaderboard trend as Lessen continues to pave his way toward a 2nd VRCNT championship with his fourth win of the season in the Netherlands. However, the remainder of the podium is tighter than it has ever been before. The tech bug bit Candyman this week as he struggled for a 4th place finish, his worst finish in the last 20 races. Right behind him and only one lap down was Savagefan04. SF4 may have had a shot at our regular runner-up this week. Crossing the line with a very respectable 2nd place result is Robmob to complete his 2nd runner-up finish of the year. Robmob also took the second spot at the season opener at Oslo. Smack dap in the middle of the pack Racer_1966 brings home his second podium finish of the year as he reins in his distance in the points standings. Although Racer went from nine points out of third to 15, Candyman's struggles allow Racers distance to second to be chopped from 26 points to only 20. In comparison, Robmob trails the second podium spot by only 5 points after this weeks race, as opposed to 18 points after Italy. Fastest lap of the race goes to Lessen with a 17.780, a number that even surprised him. The fastest pitlap this weekend was held by Robmob. He showed off a very nice performance with a 26.832 lap, that's .154 second quicker than racer winner Lessen. Very surprising is that everybody seems to have struggled this week. Even with a pre-season test at Heemstede it looks as though every racer across the board struggled with consistancy on some level. A look back at consistancy ratings from this seasons three road courses thus far shows us that Heemstede is indeed a tough track to master.
Lessen ----------- 94.75, 96.40, 94.69
Candyman ------- 88.90, 89.23, 83.25
Robmob ---------- 95.80, 92.80, 93.10
Racer_1966 ------ 79.81, 92.56, 87.06
Savagefan04 ----- 87.62, 90.27, 84.36
Although Robmob did show a better consistancy rating versus the previous week it is only slight and still lower than his performance in Norway. These numbers also show something very interesting. The second column of numbers are consistancy ratings for the Fiorano race. Aside from Lessen's spectacular 96% rating, the field was extremely close in consistancy. Is low grip the great equalizer?

Points are posted fellas. It's getting tight midpack. I can't believe Gabe didn't give it another go. He probably needed to squeeze in two more laps but he was soooo close to nabbing 4th from Jeff. That would have put 2nd within 1 point for you Rob.

Boy is that DNF last place finish for me at Speedway costing me now.
Oh well, there is still a lot of season left and Jeff will be back in business with a new adapter before we know it.

I'm not good enough to notice. My lap times are about the same as last time, I just need to be more consistent.
I went to compare my laps time to last time and didn't record any since I got a DNF. LMAO
I think if you are in the sub 7's you are doing pretty good.
Consistency is key for Speedway. You be pulling off the fastest laps, but still fumble the ball in a hurry if you have a handful of bad laps.
Josh was not the fastest at the last Speedway race, but he was the most consistent and was rewarded with the win.

If you can maintain 7.0 to 7.2 with consistently, you will do pretty good.
i was about to give it another whirl but my daughter woke up. since it was my night/turn to sit with her i never made it back to the PC. i'll actually be practicing this week so we'll see if i can make a better showing...
