So what is your skill level in building kits, and how easy/ enjoyable would you say the Team Associated SC10 Kit is? Has building the kit taught you anything, or made you feel more knowledgeable about your new rig? That's the next thing on my radio control to-do list, build a kit. Looking good so far, will stay tuned for the build progress.

Looking good! i really like that kit. what radio are you going to be using?

well, I've built this and an crawler from a kit, and I have to say that this one is a little more intense. as far as my skill level goes I can do just about any RC kit that I've seen, I dont say that lightly either. The SC10 hasnt had any big head scratchers yet and looking through the manual, I dont forsee any either. I've actually learned alot in building this one because all of my experience is in MTs and crawlers, so this one has been fun and different. I do know that this is based off of the RC10 and after looking at pictures you can really notice the resemblence.

overall, it looks like its going to be a really solid rig. on any RC I've ever looked at there has been a spot or part where I say to myself "gonna have to stock up on those" and the only part I've said that to so far is the rear arms where the shock shaft mounts to a plastic nubbin.

and for a electric setup, I'm going to be running an enerland PQ-5100 rxp battery, a CC sidewinder with BEC, a brand new DS3R system, and a Feiago 380C brushless motor. not sure on the servo yet.

there was a work bench under there?

Man I really wanted to win the contest, I will be keeping an eye on this thread

hey, leave the workbench alone!

as for the body, I'm not sure yet. I've got an artsy friend who is looking for some new mediums and I offered her up the body. were going to come up with somthing and then I'm gonna let her go.

i would go with a sc10 over a slash anyday. but i love associated and havent owned any traxxas's so I'm byist

I like those mud "rock" flaps my slash needs those.

the only thing about the flaps now that I've looked a little closer is that they dont sit behind the wheels, they sit just inside of them. Ill see how well they work and let you guys know.

I've only bought rtrs in the past but that looks fun assembling that and I'm into racing so next rc i buy is going to be a kit i think.

kits are definatly more fun IMO. you not only get to setup everything the way you want it right away, but you also dont have to mess with factory crap that finds its way into alot of RTRs

Damm, that looks like my workbench. That's why I always have to buy used ones already put together.
