Got a few eyes, got a few thumbs up, smiles and some attention from dogs and other pets.😁

Didn't get caught by security 😆
I passed security at the bar coming back from the beach I picked up my cars and acted like nothing happened 😁
The resort rules for skateboards and other toys states should not be riden property. Well they never stated driven so I'm in the clear regardless. They also said no drones and fireworks, well I saw one person with a drone the other night and someone did or maybe the resort staff not sure did fireworks for the past 3 nights in a row lol.

Will post videos later. You'll see the oopsie I did with the slash lol. Rustler did far better in it due to the open wheel and it stayed tons cleaner than the slash.

After I went to the top/empty parking garage. Brought my air duster and rc toothbrush, AKA detailing brush. Actually got them both decently cleaned. Later thrown them on the balcony upside down to dry out. This was a need for the slash, you'll see later in the video/oopsie, lol.

Yea and I got sand in the balance 2mm bullet hole on the Cnhl 6600mah stick pack. Tried to blow it out but that didn't work. I got the balance cord in there almost half way and it will still storage charge so that's good. I'll just try my best with my body reamer when I get back to the room and use a food pick when I get back home.

That's a rough beach! Tell them to groom it for you. Lots of people. Paddle tires...get a pair. Yeah salt water not good. What are the divider things that look like haybales for? Looks like fun though.

You need to put this song on the next beach run video!!! 🤣

Looks like a lot of fun!!! 😍

I'm curious to hear any sand/salt/water damage from your adventure. 😎
In my Instagram post I put Surfin in the USA for the music lol

Well the slash, due to the oopsie I had right after that. I knew the esc was still working as it was still sending power to the receiver but it would cut power to the motor. wasn't hot or anything. Once I lifted it in the air it worked but once I put it back in the sand it wouldn't work. So basically I had to jump start it to get it going and then like 2 minutes after it happened again. I slapped the chassis pretty hard and it worked like normal for the rest of the night. Weird. Lol. I guess it's the salt water. It is a waterproof esc too. And I only went like half of the wheels high on the water. Left them drying upside down all last night so I'll check on them. Take the wheels off. Clean those off and try to find a can of compressed air or I can quickly take out all the electronics and use the hose at the pool downstairs. Slash got alot more dirty due to the wheels being in the body and all the hard to reach spots on the chassis.

Lol@ surfin USA!!! 😍

Def salt water!!! More conductive than fresh water. I'm glad it all worker out in the end.
I would get those things cleaned of the salt asap for sure.
The salt is no good for bearings and other moving parts too!

Your beach blast looks like a lot of fun.

Makes me want to build a beach buggy. Wr are pretty close to the beach and not a single resident of Maine would be upset if I tortured a tourist or 3 with an angry 4x4 RC with paddle tires. 👍
Maybe like 1 1/10 scale and 3 or 4 1/5 scale in case the little one ran into any trouble with the locals. 🤣

It would be so fun to have a large section of open beach to blast around on! 😍
I'll have to go to the beach in December for that. 😉

When I lived in San Diego, I used to take my RC's to the beach quite often. Yup, I ruined a few RC's doing that. Didn't matter how well I cleaned them. Bearings, shock shafts, axles, motors, etc...

This is how good I can clean it up which is pretty good just with air duster and tooth brush and body reamer. Bearings are crunchy on the slash so that's good as I just got a new fast Eddy bearing kit the other week
I thought my servo on the slash was done but no it still works fine it's just super stiff and hard to turn by hand.

Is it the servo or the linkages that are binding up? The servo doesn't sound too good if its gritty and tought to move.
Were your beariings rubber sealed and still got full of sand or metal sheilded?
Lucky you have extras for sure!!!

I think a dedicated beach buggy thats easy to seal up and clean out sounds like a lot of fun!
It would be fun to build and test and see how long it lasts before salt or sand or a big hungry seagull chewed it up! 🤣

Nah the whole steering, besides the servo was all smooth and free
Servo was very tight and stiff to move by hand once I took it out and once I did move it you can feel it being gritty plus maybe even skipping a fine gear or something. Replaced with my spare 2075R Traxxas unknown spec servo. Dunno specs but handles 7.4v just fine as I already tested it lol.

Idk it's just basic winter evening and other fast Eddy bearings

I don't run near sand on the regular so I don't see a point to build something up when I don't have the money nor the space lol.
