Hey Whatever happened to RCDad he was posting and seemed to be enjoying the site. Posted a bit too much but I have seen that before with people that are gunho with the hobby and the forum. They usually chill out after awhile.

Just wondering.

RCDad, if you're reading this, do a search on my name and put "xbox" as your criteria. You'll find at least 3 xbox threads that tanked hard. At least your topics got some replies!!

I dunno, i just think he really like his r/c's. He has just really found something that gets him truly excited. Ain't no crime in that. I enjoy answering his questions and seeing all his enthusiasm. I was like that at one time. Only difference was that he found r/c's and the forum at the same time. By the time I found forums, I was past the super excitement stage.

Thought I saw him on the Traxxas board the other day. One bad thing with the internet is there is no actual human interaction to where you can tell by a gesture or the tone of someone's voice whether they are joking or not. I'm sure he'll be back. Hell, maybe he's actually got a life and took a vacation!

Honestly I think hes probably done here... Not to rip on Jon2 (Dont take it personal, I'm totally cool with ya, and ya've helped me out alot from some of your stuff on here) but I think he was a little rough with him, and probably could have been handled a little more "Calmly?". Dont get me wrong, he had the right intentions, but they were just said wrong. But I also agree with Rcdad that new threads (even somewhat pointless) are better than no new ones. Thats what makes a board looked refreshed. But I hope RcDad does come back. He was a valued member and would hate for him to not come on here or be a hider because of this. So RcDad if your reading this come back man.. Your obviously wanted here. In all my time of being on here, I've never seen a thread like this, but I've seen alot of people come and go, so take it as a compliment for sure!

yeah, it's kinda sad to see really interested people leave suddenly. hopefully he'll pop in again and catch this thread. he could have used the search a little more intensely, but when your new you really don't know better. When I started coming here it was my first encouner with a forum of any type. I quickly realized (just like jetmech stated) that's it's sometimes hard to get the true message across. I got on a few peoples bad list for a short while but it all smoothes out over time

Yeah I have to admit, one of my 1st posts was "whats the differance between the 2.5motor and the .15" which I'm sure was covered a bunch, but I've always recieved help here. I can vouch that a person doesn't really want to check every question they have in the search thingy, but instead of that I would pm some people who were knowlegdgeable (sp?) and asked them (Zandor, and Olds helped me a TON with my .21 conversion) and they always seemed more than willing to help. But yeah Id really like to see him back. He seemed like a nice enough guy, and really willing to help the club out. Plus I'm big on the "No question is a dumb question" cuz everyone was a noobie at one point or another.

Well I think I will join RCDad on this one. I just got the computer back so not up with the board till now. I have seen the board and a few of the members (Mods) Give lame replies and no help at all! Just look at the gold member?? thread. I was not too happy about that and to tell you the truth from that day on I decided I would not contribute to the forum. I know you will all rip on me and thats fine do as you wish but I am now done on this forum. Thanks for all the fun at the east cost bash and the cool people that went but it is not enough to keep me on this site!

dude your pissed just because of that,if it was such an issue to you,you should of just pm'ed a Mod. as for the gold member thing people that contributed to the site got the gold banner and how we knew first was there is a contributers forum and there was chat in there about the gold banner i understand that nobody (mods) answered the question,however there was and still is ton of things going to the site it must of just got overlooked you been here a long time and you going to leave just because of that....people do make mistakes and this is just a bad example if your talking about rolex he is a new mod in training and needs to hit with the stick once in awhile...come on dude we need you please dont go.please please please.....aloha
