Ok guys in a couple of days I'm going to the river with some friends. Now where we camp theres a sand area for riding quads. I was wondering if anyone has ever diriven a RC18 in sand with padles and what the affects were. Also would it mess up my electronics and my mamba. I'm going to buy some padles I think but I was just wondering if it would totally screw it up. Thanks alot.

Sand in the gears is BAAD! It would probably also mess up the motor. The lube on the gears attracts sand like nobody's business. If you are determined to play in the sand, seal up all the electronics (servo, receiver and ESC), Use a dry lube like the one Fast Eddy sells on his site and make sure to clean them up ASAP after running.

Maby Ill just take my revo. That sounds a little easyer, because I know what work is needed to use that sucker there. The mini would just take up less space.

The mini's are able to go in sand, although we have to determine how thin the sand is? If its like rocks, then you shouldnt have any problems besides some rocks in the gears. If its that fine stuff, you will have to seal up pretty much everything with gears or electronics.
