I have an old wooden model landrover (12 inches length) with no electrics. I have a acquired an RC engine sound simulator

There was no tech sheet with the package. I want to install this in the wooden model. I obviously need a batter (voltage?). How else do I go about it? I dont mind if the engine stays on tickover. This is for my grandson. I have no knowledge of RC models or the electrical connections!

YOUr suggestions please.

That just needs a 6v power source.

But without a radio system, I don't think it's going to make any noise. Pretty sure throttle input from the radio turns it on.
