Did you print that?

Try this with a print. Buy you a small bottle of resin, like this stuff
OSBANG UV Resin https://a.co/d/1ZpeHz0

Brush it on the surface kinda heavy. Let it settle and smooth out.

Then grab you one of these UV flashlights and light the area up for about 30 seconds.
Waklyte UV Flashlight https://a.co/d/34r2tiI

You will be AMAZED at how easy it is to smooth a print with this technique. The resin sands so much easier than PLA or PET.

Note: DO NOT get that resin on your skin. Wear nitrile gloves any time you mess with it.

All these bars were FDM printed, and getting them smooth for paint would have been a real chore.

I cannot take credit for this print. sourced it out to https://flubrc.com/
Based on our conversations I will be seeking advice from you as I attempt to fine tune my own printing skills

Well, that's a decent print. Try the UV resin trick I mentioned above. You can thank me later 😆😉

Been a busy few weeks. Good to get back out on the trail.

My friend and I had plans to go to a new spot we’d never been to with some guys this morning but the plans fell through. He lives an hour away so we met about halfway at a park and just did the drainage rocks thing. Not the most fun, but it was good to get out. We got the scx24’s out. Mine is the jeep. He just finished the build with the purple Injora body and it was the first time he’d gotten it outside. I ran my newly brushless upgraded granite grom out there, too.

Now that I finally had an opportunity to step down from my life and take a breather, I completed a "refresh" of my custom 12th scale. I replaced the 72mm shocks with 80mm shocks to get a little more flex, but realized what I really needed was to stretch the wheelbase. Dlux Fab makes some excellent custom links, so I picked up a set and stretched the rear by 10mm. Also swapped out the Shift Wheels I originally had on it for some Treal wheels I was going to use on my VRD build. Last I ditched the bed and went back to a cab only look since I felt like the bed added to much weight to the rear.
This thing can climb now like a mountain goat on steroids.
