So my oldest boy and I are both driving TMAXX's and my youngest son is ready for his own. He is only 7 and I don't think he is ready for a full blown nitro. I need something that is quick but very controlable. It will have to be able to go on the dirt.

Any help. He has about 200 bucks saved.

Thanks.

i got my 7 year old a Losi mini high roller, it small, but alot of fun for him to drive, swapped out the stock motor with insane 370, went to lipo's and it does wheelies all day long, good speed for him, and when he crashes parts are pretty cheap. it's only 2 wheel drive, but he has a blast with it. and it does pretty well in the dirt.

Traxxas Monster Jam trucks are also in that price range. Decent performance and they look great and have great parts availability.

Could do a 2WD Slash as well they are water proof and can take beating.

Traxxas 2wd vehicles are hard to beat. The xl5/12t can handle 8 cell nimh when geared down a bit. Makes for a peppy entry level vehicle.
