Do you really think this guy is a scam? Cause I haven't gotten my EBook yet...

lol

that's some funny poop Ed......
I like those adds that plaster FREE FREE FREE all over the beginning and then hit you for money at the end.....maybe if there's a lawyer among us they could scare him out of business by sending him a letter saying it's false advertising or something......
I see Bobby moore at my LHS and Mills Pond alot...I have to ask him who this wonder man of the internet book is....I hope he's publishing this w/o consent...that would rock.....the village idiot would be the block bitch...LOL

Did I read it right?
175.00 for an e-book and access to some interviews?
He makes it sound like he has spent $2000.00 for a day with a pro.
Last I knew, this forum and every other forum is free and interviews will cost you for a subscription to a good mag.

This guy is paying good money for google ads. I wonder id people are truly buying into this......

Hi Ed,

Ed, if you are like me, you can't get enough scoop
on
the latest RC news. Unfortunately, you have to really dig for it,
or travel LONG distances to it to get the really good stuff.
And that takes a tremendous amount of time. Just this past May, I
traveled to Anahiem, California for the RCX RC convention. I got a
ton of great stuff, and information. If I'm going to go to
all that trouble, I might as well share it with my fellow RC
hobbyists, right? What I'm going to do for you is save you all
that time, and get you hot RC opinions, news, upgrade advice, tips
from the pros, and even keep you informed of any hot deals
that I come across. Howse that for good deal? And all you gotta
do is let me do the work, and you get the info, written in my own
in-your-face, fun style.

And right off the bat, I have a deal for you, to get some new RC
stuff!! I love getting new RC Stuff!! If you go to:
http://www.rccarsecretsguide.com/coupons/, you will be shown a
special page, where a password is required to get a special link.
The password is: rcinsider . That link will save you money at
a leading, trusted online RC retailer, who will ship right to your
door. All the details are at that page.

You should bookmark that coupon page, as every day I may change
it to something better and improved. So keep an eye out for it.

I also want to assure you, I will never, never, ever give your
email address out to anyone, and that any email that you get from
this list will ALWAYS, ALWAYS be from me, personally. I F***ING
HATE SPAM. String those criminals up by thier nads, I always say.
Anyway, I ain't one of those punks. If at any time you want to stop
recieving my RC emails, there are instructions on how to
unsubscribe at the bottom of every one of my emails. And if you
do, hey, no hurt feelings, even tho I am poring my heart and soul
into them ;)

One thing you can do right this minute, is go to my Blog, at:
www.rcsmackdown.com. I have some audio, pictures, Hot RC opinions,
and hopefully by now I've edited all that video I shot at the RCX
convention. I hate editing video.

So, I'm glad our paths have met. If you ever need to get in
contact with me about a question, send an email to me at:
[email protected] .

Let's race!!

OH MY GOD, marketer attacks RC hobby, film at 11 . . .

Guys I'm a web developer, I've built sites for these kinds of guys, of course you all know this is total bullshit but you have no clue how well this crap works . . .

What they do is pick a topic. Doesn't matter what it is. They find a few facts, just a few, and fluff them up with pages and pages of bulls**t that leaves you feeling stupid. You feel stupid because you're thinking, "well, I just read 50 pages, and the guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about, but what did I actually learn?"

This trick has been used since the days of snake oil salesmen, you say all sorts of s**t that sounds technical and sounds like it makes sense but it's really nonsense. My first clue . . .

And I will even share with you the incredible story of how I met this Pro racer, but first...

The bait and switch. "You want to know this, but first let me divert your attention to the hand that does NOT have the coin in it." Sometimes they don't even get back to the "you want" part. They keep bouncing from topic to topic without bringing anything useful together.

I know this because I've put together websites for these kinds of f***ers. I HATE THESE GUYS. These are the guys that fill the world with bulls**t and take all peoples' money and those people will never admit it because they FELT like they got what they paid for, but feel stupid because they don't think they understand it. Mission accomplished.

I HATE THESE GUYS ARRRRGHHHHHH . . . . they are the spam behind the spammers!

I will not contact this guy because as soon as you do you're on a f***ing spam list, it won't turn up until a month or two later. Eddy feel free to post my message here in an email to him. Like to see what he says about THIS! :D

I used an e-mail specific for this jerk.
Lets see if he sell / trades/ or uses it for anything other then his Ummm.... newsletter.

I do have to say its classic Marketing 101. Right next to snake oil. If he was reasonable in his price, say $10.00 I'm sure he would do a lot better. $175.00 is way out of the WTF ill give it a try zone.

I think I will wait for the printed version to hit the book shelves so I can thumb through it to see if the info is worth the money. So far all I see is a bunch of "talking a lot and saying nothing", and I'm not about to give my CC# to some internet scammer for a few rehashed RC mag. articles. If this guy can afford to pay $2000/day :horsecrap to talk to a pro and willing to do it, he must be pretty stupid. The whole time I was reading over the info from the web, I kept thinking how much the add looked like another internet scammer that is selling detailed info about how to buy Forcloser and tax sale properties, where & when to buy, and how to find prime property and buy it & sell it w/o risking your own money & $0 down. ALL HYPE and no real usable info. I give this a big ol, :thumbdown

PS: anyone see this guy's name come up on the pro's list? If he is using the info and it works as good as he claims, he should be up there with the pro's.

not getting my money, thats for sure.

I think i'll talk to pros for free rather than paying somebody.

Here is a quote from this "pro" in his news letter on changing a Revo pipe.

the Revo in particular has a screw in the original pipe itself that locks down on the rear side of the pipe onto a thin vertical holding piece of hard wire. Heh, I don't even know what it's called, but when you tug on it a tad, you will notice it big time. I wouldn't have seen mine if I hadn't done this myself.

Heres another good one....
This guy has sent 5 E-Mails so far all full of hype...

"hey J.P.,
i was reading the ebook and i was wondering wen u are talkin bout how u would give the workers a pizza and the owner will fall over you. how does the owner get to like u if u just give the workers a pizza.

thanks, kevin

Well, Kevin, actually, you've got it jsut a tad confused, but close. Let me explain for you, and anyone else that may have misread it.

This is a tip that Mistuh Pro told me, and it does work very well.
But your results may vary.

The guys who work at the hobby store dont make much money, and are usually college kids with lots of know how. As often as possible, when I go in to the shop to buy something, shop around, or have questions, I bring something for them. Food works best, like donuts, or if its dinner time, I pick up a pizza and bring it over, and eat with them, and joke around.

This gets those guys on your side, and they will often go out of their way to help you, like if you have a car or truck that needs repairs you quite don't understand. Some hobby store guys make a little money on the side doing these things, like cutting coms and trueing foam tires, or even painting bodies. They may reciprocate your good acts with acts of your own. The local hobby store guys in my town know me by name. I wouldn't be surprised if thier mouths even water when they see me, because they subconsciously think dinner or donuts have arrived.
