Radio Frequency Question

So I got an Associated XP3D radio system off ebay for next to nothing, and when I bought it I assumed that since it was FM it was also 75mhz but apparently its 27mhz w/ only six frequency choices. Is this common? I'm sorta bummed I thought all FM radios were 75mhz Nice radio for what I paid for it otherwise. Alot more features and less glitchy than the traxxas AM crap.

P.S I know I should just get a 2.4ghz radio but not until after xmas...

You can get a 75mhz or 2.4ghz module for it. It is a decent radio,I've been using one all this year.

Ya unfortunatly you can get a Spektrum 2.0 for less than the 2.4ghz module costs.....
