Another boring Jimmie Johnson win....... 3 races and he's won 2 of them. Looks like it is going to be a long season, unless you are a Jimmie Johnson fan.

As I said all last season....Eff Jimmy Johnson. Didn't watch a single lap today. And still don't really plan to. Daytona. Talladega. That's it.

It's getting to that point with me as well!

I turned it off after Jamie's wreck. Very unhappy about that.

I can't believe that JP called McMurray out! That was clean racing in my book. Jamie had the run.. and JP got loose. That's the way I saw it any way.

Jamie said he got loose and had to chase it up the track (into JPM).

I'm upset with both sides.

It was still pretty early in the race and it was lookin' like Bono and the team were getting the car better. From the looks of Jamie's speed he was well on his way to a top ten or maybe even a top 5 day. Jaime was nearly begging to be on the outside on every restart up until then. Why do drivers like to start on the outside?... because they can't turn the wheel or they get loose. He knew he was in a predicament which required a lot of caution and he still overdrove it with 80% of the race to go. Shame shame on Jaime's part.

Now to Juan.. Yes, he got wrecked via a mistake on somebody else's part. That will always make a driver angry. But to call out your teamate like that? Remember when Kyle Busch called out Jeff Gordon for "helping a Roush car" when jaime beat him at Daytona in '07? Busch didn't drive for Hendrick too much longer did he? I'm not saying Juan deserves to lose his ride, I'm saying owners don't look very highly upon calling out your teamate like that. Not only does it create tension between drivers but also in the garage, and back on the 7-post, and the body shop, and the engine shop etc. etc. etc. You just shouldn't do that IMO.

At any rate, Jaime threw away what could have been a really really good points day. Now you know me Tom.. I'm a Mcmurray fan through and through, but I'm also about as fair as fan as they come. I'll back him 100% when he's in the right but when he screws up I'm not gonna sit here and blame somebody else just because it happens to be somebody with an edgy reputation and I could get away with it because that's what everybody else is doing. I'm been following Mcmurray for what will be now 7 seasons and very very rarely have I seen him as the cause of a wreck that shouldn't have happend. It's just not something he does and it really upset me that he made a blunder like that. Hey, if it's 15 laps to go... racing.. but that was far from the case.

I've been a gordon fan since I was 4 or 5. I always cheered for Jimmie and the other Hendrick cars, but now its getting old. I wanted to see Gordon win that race, which he may have had Letarte not made that dumb 2 tire call.

No USF1

BOOO!

After all the hype and amidst a lot of current speculation, USF1 will not be competing in the 2010 FIA F1 Championship. Quite disturbing if you ask me. I was looking forward to a 26 car field I think it would have been.. FIA does not plan to allow any team to fill the vacancy. This is according to F1.com. No such information has yet to be posted on USF1's website.

Atlanta is in a couple of days. I'm going to both the truck and cup race. Will anyone else be there?

Geoff Bodine is running the truck race in a truck painted in the scheme of his bobsleds. I understand it'll have the medal winners names on it as well. I thank that's ultra cool.:thumbup:

Well, That was a pretty good race. Keselowski hit the wall with his roof right in front of us. It was insane. The car flying through the air made a really loud, deep, humming noise. You don't hear that on tv.

Can't let this fall off the page...

Since there wasn't a NASCAR race this weekend, F1 got my undivided attention. Very interesting turn this season. I'm disappointed that USGP couldn't make the cut. And more disappointed that we now don't get to watch Peter Windsor on the grid prior to the races. I suspect it's his involvement as a Team Principal in USGP that prohibits him from continuing his commentator duties. I'm sure Josh will confirm that for me.
New rules. Interesting. No refueling at all during races. Definitely changes a lot of strategies. Changes the slant on tire strategy for sure. I'm amazed at how fast these teams can now get a car up and changed. I swear I saw one team change 4 tires in under 3 seconds. It's making the pit-road race immaterial. Still, it leaves a lot resting on qualifying. The cars are still somewhat unequal and the new teams are definitely going to struggle. Ferrari looked good. Glad to see Massa back behind the wheel. Red Bull looked good. If not for Vettel's broken exhaust header he would have walked. Schumacher back in the Mercedes. Looked fine for his first race in 3 years. I'll be interested to see how the next race pans out. 2 weeks to Australia.

I suspect you're correct Jeff. We know how political F1 is. Lot's of red tape.

In general I like the fact that they are not refueling. My reasoning for that is due to the fact that it creates a situation where the car goes through a dramatic change throughout the race, even more so than in years past. I like that. It puts a lot of weight on the driver to adjust to the car as it changes and take care of his equipment. On the negatie side, as you mentioned, it makes pit stops a bit less interesting. Yes they are lightning fast and that's pretty spectacular but will only hold my attention for so long. The problem is that there is no anticipation, no waiting game. We don't get to watch two cars pitting at the same time who's tires are on but waiting on fuel. I think from a spectators POV pit stops will be significantly less entertaining once the shine goes away from the speed.

In general I thought it was a spectacular race.

So the 48 is 3 for 5 this year. He has won 60% of the races this year! He is unstoppable and it is ridiculous. As long as Hendrick is keeping it strong I am happy.

Good day for the 1 car. Probably shouldve taken 2 tires instead of 4 but a top 10 is certainly where Jaime belongs at Bristol.:thumbup:

42 other drivers have shot at him. What is it that makes them unable to beat him?

Looks like many Nascar fans are finally getting what they have been dreaming of...Jimmie and Jeff not getting along. The old Jeff wouldn't take this, I hope we see the old Jeff next race!
