Anyone on here run one of these chop shops that tear apart new trucks and sell everything on ebay? It seems like it would be a decent way to turn a small profit and always have spare parts on hand :)

More effort than $$ to balance the ratio. I got alot of my Revo parts on E-Bay like this, guy had entire rigs torn down minus the powerplant. He was selling them at lower or same cost as the next guy.

I bought alot of my XXL/LST2 parts that way and I tried to make a list of all the parts the kit had been stripped down into and add the average cost that I would typically pay for a given part....I then added up all the parts and it was slightly less money than the kit cost so IDK how the hell those guys do that and turn a profit unless they are buying them at wholesale cost somehow.

my idea is that doing E-Bay takes a special skill. you might have the skill. just try to not loose to much money.

Yeah,I've checked out the idea too. With all of the fess for so many different sales,I don't see a way to profit unless they can get them way cheaper than us average Joes. However they do it,I buy a lot my parts that way :)

I think they have a whole sale "in" as I don't see how they turn a profit if they area buying them at retail.
I do buy most of my parts from them tho as I really don't have a "local" hobby shop.
