Hey give the guy a break...just cause there are 2 guys on the forum doing the same business doesn't mean you gotta tear into one of em.....Ray made no ill statements in his posts lets not make OS look bad by turning this into a flame war.......

agreed, what we can do is urge either one of them or both to become forum sponsers. both guys do top notch work, and back it up with quality customer service. some people prefer one persons work to anothers, everyone has a preference about everything, but the bottom line is both can get the job done right, and will back up thier work.

well put...OS can you explain a little about the re-sizing process to get this thread started in the right direction....

If you can spin the flywheel with your finger, would you say the engine has lost compresion.

The fly wheel isnt that easy to spin, takes a little effort.

He is offering to answer questions on resizing, there will be no flaming, it will not be tolerated. Thanks for offering to answer questions on the resizing process OS Rocket. But please turn off the cap lock, thanks.

I didnt mean it as a diss, I was more or less jokin.. Plus competition is always good. Plus I've always heard good things about Os rocket. Who does the pinching on here already?

rc10gt i can do the os for you and the sirio .27's

plaidfish, we resize the sleeve in two areas above the ports, that matches the original as close as possible, and you cannot go below the ports because it will affect the seal in the block area, also if you are not careful you can close the top area where the button/head goes in. breaking in is easier than new because the heat cycling has already been done, the first time, the piston wears in when new and the contact area on the piston gets larger after seating in the first time so when resized you still have the larger contact patch/sealing area, and it last longer.

bouzouki, if you can spin it over freely the compression is gone, but the best time you can do that is when the engine gets to operating temp. one thing you can do is with the engine out of the car hold the flywheel with the head at 3 oclock approx, and the compression should hold the engine there, now even if it falls after 3 or 4 seconds it's still ok to run, most guys get the engines resized when they start becoming hard to tune on the track, flame out on them, and will not hold the idle without leaning the bottom end screw a few times,

hope that helps johnb

Hey Os do you do ws711 P/s pinch...I don't need it done yet..
Only 5 gallons in her so far a still killer compression. But buy the end of summer It will need it.And at well over 100$ for a new P/S Ill do a pinch and see how it goes!

What should I prepare for when I get my p/s back for my s-25? It's for my Savage and it's a pullstart.

buncrana, it should to fine, preheat the block if you can, there is a break-in sheet that will be in there with it, also try to get the fuel up to the carb, pull your vent line off and before you hook up your feed line blow into it and that will force the fuel up to the nipple. if you have any questions mail me, thanks jb

Ok, when using a heat gun to pre-heat the engine, where do I point the gun?

Well, I have not cranked it up yet since my savage is in many parts right now but I can tell it's tight for sure but not over tight. I could still pull this thing over but not nearly as easily as I could before I sent it.

I had my novarossi done by O.S., thanks for the great work, going on its 4 gallon and its still running strong and has lots of compression. peace
