after christmas i plan to get me a new dx3r to use with all my cars
has anybody had any problems with it ?and what are they?

for the people that alreadly has one is it worth the money

thanks for the help

The DX3r is an awesome radio, unlesss you are running a gasser. For nitro and electric they are so easy to use and have ALL the features you need.
BUT before you buy one, pull the battery cover off and look at the model number.
If the last 4 digits are 0712, 0801, 0802, then it could possibly carry a software problem which will cause the radio to lose bind!
They claim this only occurs during model change, so it should never be a problem, but they're wrong. I've had one lose bind while driving and lost an engine over it.
If you return it to Horizon Hobbies they will change the software for free, so realistically if one was cheap enough it would probably be a good buy.
I now have the repaired 0802, and a new 0808 model that has been awesome.
Dont let this put you off them, they are still a great radio.....

thanks for the input i have heard of this before great to know more about it now

i still want one but it has to wait a little longer
