So I'm looking at upgrading my rtr radio system to something a little better and need some advice.

Question is about the 3rd channel. For example the DX3C is a 3 channel. How can this channel be used? I see things about mixing, which I'm assuming is for 4 wheel steering, but can this channel be used for on/off function? What I'm wanting is to plug my leds into the 3rd channel and be able to turn off and on remotely. Can this be done easily?

Apparently you have to buy a doodad that the lights plug into then the doodad goes into the receiver. Just gotta find the doodad. In theory its simple. 3 wires on reciever +/-/control (I'm assuming), The doodad would simply act as a switch.
