I was just wondering if you had to use paint specified for Lexon for the backing or will normal spray paint work?
Since its just sticking to the other paint and not the Lexon?

You have to use paint made for lexan. When regular paint dries it does not dry flexable, rc paint does, and it will chip and flake off the inside. Only use RC paint on your bodies.

I concur with NC.
I tried to use regular paint one time and it trashed the entire paint job. The spray paint dissolved the lexon paint and and ruined all my hard work.

I should have asked first. :trout:

The only paintjob I have done using Krylon was a hummer body my brother in law trashed so bad I couldn't even strip it and redo it. He was going to throw it away so I figured I would experiment with it. I masked the windows on both sides, then spray painted it with Krylon ultra flat black paint. I wanted a flat black primer look to it. I worked great, the ultra flat stays flexable once dried, and if it starts to look crappy, mask it off and hit it with a new coat, then it looks brand new. Since it is also black on the inside when it gets scratched it is no more noticable than a regular paint job. I was surprised how well it adhered to the lexan, I forgot to mask one window on the inside and had a hell of a time stripping it off. It's a great look for that flat primer look and worked very well.

I see.
Living in the south has caught up to you.
Going for that Trailer park look.:jester:
Does he keep it on blocks in the front yard?

Cmon now...It is more of a military style look. I was thinking about camo-ing it, all flat. It really does look cool. I will have to take some pics of it and put them in the gallery. I was also thinking of doing something like the vehicles in Mad Max with it. Flat black, steel mesh on all the windows, big gnarly bumpers. Who knows, it was a free body to experiment with.
