Ok I bought the "INTEGY" SAVAGE X BUT THE REAR SKId PLATE WASN'T ON THE TRUCK SO I PUT IT ON. Now my question, after i was done i had all the stock parts left over which is fine, but one part bulkhead it's HPI s part i think, i left it out, so do ineed to pull the rear skid plate back off and put that on or is it just there because of hpi's plastic skid plate ??? I like this truck it has all INTEGY parts, but there were no instruction manual from integy, i take it there isn't one, anyway i am gonna put my new f4.6 in this truck, overall all the screws were loctited, trucks done well, just lots of purple, anyway please let me know about the part no hpi 86067 i think, do i need to pull off the integy skid plate and put it under it or am i ok ??? thanks to any and all who can help me here. peace !!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!!! that is a critical plate that gives the chassis plates their rigid strength. it all interlocks once you have screwed everything down. there should be 2 of those one in front and back and also aids in sealing your diff at the bottom.

I called HPI tech support and was told that if i used the Integy metal skid plate, i wouldn't need that part but if you think i should put it on, maybe i should. The front one was allready on, just put the engine in it and i want to be sure everythings right before i start it up.

Just a quick note to let everyone know i put on the rear bulk-head, HPI did say i shouldn't need it but i thought it should be on. trucks done n ready for break-in now with its new f4.6 pull-start. re-checked every screw and added loc-tite, new batteries, electronics work fine, i'll try to get some pics of it on if i can.

I didn't think too much of the aluminum at first, but it does look nice, especially if you like purple, I just wanted a extra truck for when my xl is down. I will definately let ya know how it holds up, but at least i have the stock parts.
