Hopefully I will be the winner if the lottery but if I am not I still plan on purchasing a JR XS3 for my RC's. My question is what is a good receiver to purchase for the additional RC's? I am assuming when it says 6 model memory that means it can remember 6 different settings for 6 different RC's. All I would need to do is purchase a receiver that would work with the XS3 correct? Should I just purchase the same receiver that the XS3 comes with or should I look at getting a different brand like Novak, ect?

I'd get the same model number that comes with the JR XS3 just so there isn't any reliability problems. I just got mine last week, someone with more experirence might be able to give a different angle though.

I have used my XS3 with a Novak system and it works perfectly fine. I did hear that the synth Novak Rx's have a short life. The 2 Rx's are about the same price at around 75 bucks so if you can, get the JR. If its not available, you should not have any probs with the Novak

i went and bought 2 recievers a while back and I was planning on getting the Novak ones because I have never had a reliability issue with novak but they (the XXXL) were bigger and cost about 15 bucks more so I just went with the JR brand and they work great!

mcvickj - if u are getting the synth version of the JR - i would recommend getting a synth rcv by novak. it is smaller, lighter, and is also a synth. if not, or if u dont wanna spend the money, just get the regular jr, its cheap.

my 3D FM uses a dcx rcvr, so even the non-synth version is 65.00 , so u r lucky

Nitroaddict - Yes I plan on getting the synth version of the JR. The same one WoodiE has up for the lottery.

NoviceRob - Thanks for the link. That is the same one I found. The Novak does sound very tempting. I might just purchase one Novak and see how well it does before I drop the cash on two of em.

the Novak reciever is bigger, I compared them at the hobby shop.

its a little slimer but longer than the JR reciever. The reason I compared them is because on my RC10GT I run a RPM reciever box and I wanted to make sure it would fit and due to the length the novak didnt fit.
