I have a nitro ruslter 2.5 and was wondering what can i do to get a few more horsepower any suggestions thanks

The Nitro Rustler already has what (I think, anyway) you could term a souped up engine. It's not much bigger than the Pro 15 at .153 displacement. I'd have to agree with the previous poster in that you're probably looking at a bigger engine altogether.

there is usually always power and RPM to be gained if you are handy with a dremel and grinding bits. Flow porting on the sleeve, turbo mods and flow porting on the crank, timing adjustments, etc. But this takes a knowledge of what to do and where to do it, along with having the steady hand to do the grinding.

If not... like mentioned upgrading would be your best bet.

The Traxxas 3.3 will drop in where you have a 2.5r already with no mods.

What pipe do you have? I don't know what that rig runs in stock form, but a high flow header with a nice tuned pipe will add some zip to it usually.
I believe the Rustler comes with the upgrade header and the nice, tuned, pipe as well. Basically, what it is, the Rustler is the same thing as a Sport (my car), but with a slightly bigger engine and all the goodies (bigger cooling head, bigger flow pipe, tuned pipe, etc.)
