Question about 4-tec

Although not a big fan of that car - when properly tuned, i have seen some run okay in the novice class at the track. I would say thats a pretty good deal, his feedback is 100%, the engine is a beast, as long as it isnt too old, and the car seems to be in good shape.

Matt - I just sold my monster Nitro 4-Tec pro with Sirio .18 (3cc) to my buddy for a fair price. She was a totaly beast and the only reason I sold her is because I'm sick and tired of belt drives. The belt drives aren't that bad for the most part but shaft drives are ultra low matience in compison. It's hard to tell general wear from those photos. Ask the buyer a ton of questions, if he doesn't answer you in a way that you feel is proper then don't give the person your buisness....period. You don't have to inundate Ebay sellers with endless questions but unless stated to the contrary they should be able to help some with 411.

Like Nitroaddict said, that Mugen motor is a beast and that should be a good deal assuming the buyer is being honest about the ammount of fuel through it (you never know even with guy with 900 posotive feedbacks). I bought a Stadium Truck on E-bay years ago from a seller with perfect feedback (and tons of it) and the motor was crap after a month as he lied about the condition. I also love most anything from NovaRossi but like many don't like the prices.

One of my bash buddies use to race NitroBoats with sponsorhip from NovaRossi and he also use to win some Nationals with a NovaRossi powered 4-tec. The 4-Tec is a proen car but needs alllot of hop-ups to race with the big boys. That car looks to be a great play car.

I had the same setup as the seller. It is a good race setup or top speed basher with the opp clutch bell and spur. But it "WILL TEAR UP SOME BELTS" trust me you will be buying them by the dozens. expex if you pick up a rock. But I still love my 4 tec it was my first nitro car . A great learning tool. Make sure the seller is to his word about the fuel through the motor !!! Novarossi parts are not cheap. They are great engines, thats what I run in my ntc3. If you are worried, save your money and buy yourself somthing new! so nothing can go wrong! good luck!
