I need to make an extension for my rx pack. I was going to use the wires and connectors from a switch I have. One connector has 2 metal tabs on the top, someone said I can do something with them so I could pull the wires out, then do something in reverse to have them hold the new wires. Is this true? What would I have to do?

I have not tried yet - going to tonite, wanted to get some advice first.

you talking about the little connector that plugs into the rx?? you can bend those little tabs up a bit and the wire will come out just dont bend it up to far or it will break and you will have a useless connector..

Beason is right on the money here, just pry those tabs up slightly (with a pin or something really small) and pull the wire out. well at least the male end. I don't know if you'll need to do the same for the female end but it's quite a bit tougher.

be a lot easier to go to you LHS and buy an extension cabel for it. Or if you want to do it the hard way. Maxx Products Inc. Make/sells the replacement connectors for all servos, RX and RX packs. RX pack connectors #4500 male, #4522 Female. Check your LHS to see if they carry them. http://www.maxxprod.com/mpi/mpi-4.html
