pull start replacement

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if I could replace a pull start with a roto start, I am just having so many problems with the pull start. The pull start came uncoiled and I just can not get it back together. Once again thing happen when you buy vintage nitro RC'S ongoing problems........when does the the fun start?. In members photos I have a picture of a car that I am going start working on this weekend car has not been started in 5 years wish me luck.....!

For me, I still do prefer pullstart, no battery to charged and other thing more to bring. Rotor start has more parts to be maintained.

The fun will start after you get rid of that pull starter. I can't tell what kind of engine you have but more than likely, someone makes a roto starter. You have to be careful though because a roto can be hard on the one way bearing. You can stick with the pull start but you might as well pitch the one you have in the trash and get a new one. Look up the factory settings for your engine tuning and start over.

I can tune well enough that a pull start is easy but I still prefer the roto-starts. I carry a large pit bag anyway so adding the roto starter and a battery is no big deal to me.

If it's just the spring uncoiled,you can repair it. Check youtube for a how-to.
