I'm pulling the pull start and nothing was happening. But when I pulled it over when I first got it it wad pulling over fine (didn't start) but now it won't crank the motor. Took the pull start off and the rod there spins but doesn't turn the motor over

Your on way bearing is probably sticky or possibly shot. I have had one go bad before where it would catch then not catch then finally nothing. What truck and model engine that way these guys can direct you better then i can.

Hey thank you for the response. I'm not sure the model but I know it's an old hip drift car
If it's an HPI Drift car then it's probably one of these I'd assume?
Which if it still has that engine in it (or potentially one of the older HPI engines as well) this is the replacement you're probably after. Pretty sure you can find replacement pull starts as well still for them if for whatever reason you find that to be faulty as well.
Do some more research - if you've got some pictures of it we can try to help you narrow it down to make sure it's that model before you spend money a bit blind.

Hey. Thank you. It's that's exact one I think. No I think the crank pin is so worn down it's barely catching. I took apart my other motor (volcano s30) and it had a much longer pin then the one in this motor. It might no be the pin but that's my theory

The one-way bearing can be fixed fairly easy if that's what is slipping. You can clean out the needle bearings (in the one-way bearing) with WD40 to get out the old sticky oil. Then a drop of motor oil to re-lube them and it should work again. From sitting in storage from non-use the oil in the bearing starts to dry out and become sticky preventing the bearing from working properly.

You can clean the one-way bearing in denatured alcohol. There is also an old trick on traxxas ez start. Drill a hole on the case dead center where the one way is and you can spray Wd-40 in the tiny hole with the straw. This will fix it most of the time until the one way is completely shot. This way you dont have to pull the motor every time to clean it on models like the T maxx pro .15. Also I had the same type prob on an Ofna motor that had sat for a while. The pin wasn't catching when I took it apart the pin was stuck from old caked on nitro fuel. The spring was also stuck solid I cleaned it all up and it worked fine again. Be very care full removing the pin and spring.
