yeah.... customer service is not the main point here. for us 'old timer' and seasoned RCers doesn't need customer service. we can rectify some of the problems ourselves.

what we are talking about here is the PRODUCT's quality. you dont want to buy something that you can't USE. For example the shocktower with the big hole per say. you can't tell your customer "ohh... i already told the factory to rectify the problem but they just dont listen".... and yet still sell the shocktower, expecting the customer to do the rectification themselves.

What if PRP doesn't control THESE issue and the will be MORE 'incomplete' SWIFT PARTS for SWIFT USER to be use in SWIFT that can't BE USE in SWIFT.....

just that simple. no other issue.

the buggy IS great.
but the PARTS MUST BE USABLE for SWIFT.

i do hope its only that shocktower (the purple version) is having problem.... i hope OTHER PARTS is correctly produced by the manufacturer. i hope the PRP can make sure the parts for SWIFT that they sell can be use FOR SWIFT.

:) mop :)

Customer service, we don'thave that in the UK!

Joking aside, I found out as much as I could about the Swift (reading this forum for example) and waited 4 months till some of the problems were fixed.
Now that I've got one, it's a lot better than I was expecting.

I do have one Question though, PRP have revised the bumper, front upper arms, and designed a splash guard, why arn't these in the standard RTR?

I am not suggesting the 7075 machined parts should be included, but the parts mentioned are plastic & would cost very little.

Tim.

Ok, first by 'customer service' I'm not talking about some tech. hotline that I can call and have them tell me how to drive my car. We have some real high ups from Happy Time Hobbies as well as some of their CS employees on the board and they listened to the issues, kept us informed of where they were on fixing them and so on. When I say I bought my partially based on the customer service, I meant that I was very surprised that I could have direct contact with the guy in charge of the US division, I could get first hand info from him on when the problems were being solved and so on. It was only after I got the car that "hopefully the next batch" (of fixed drives) turned into "who knows when they'll get it right?".

As for the bumper, front arms and so on, those are Pro parts so again, to fix design flaws in your Swift, you must shell out more money.

Mikeburgin, your comment is completely irrelavent because not a single person who's posted to this thread bought the Swift because it was 'proven'. We bought it because it seemed like a quality RC with decent parts for a good price.

Oh and just to be really clear, I have no problems with the Swift buggy itself. I still think it's a great package and for that half tank of fuel, it's fun as hell! Overall the buggy seems durable, responsive and potentially competitive. My problem is strictly on the R&D and Quality Control side of things.

Just thought id give everyone a update on my swift, I raced it friday night with the Rz-vo1b, ran terrible all night and could not hold a tune (glow plug, duhh) and every time i would land it would die (both center braces came loose and was causing chassis to flex a lot)
Then during the 2nd qualifier i went head on FULL speed into a friends buggy ( he had mistakenly set it down right in front of my buggy after he got it running again) I hit him pretty good (took out the whole rear of the car) but amazingly my car only bent the hinge pin REALLY bad, but didnt break any of the plastic parts... I did not have a replacement so a friend who drives chrono buggies gave me a set of Hardened steel pins that use the collars with set screws instead of the c-clips.. It ran good the rest of the night..
I ended up trading the RZ for a Brand new Ofna Hyper 8 port and I'm breaking that in today.. I hafta give a big thanks to PRP for sending me the replacement parts that went bad on my car and Hitec for Warrentying out my 645MG that i had no reciept for.. Thanks guys.. nate

did you not say that you were not happy about being used as a tst dumby for them to get the car right? ummmm yeah you did, and that you werent so happy with your swift ummm yeah you did! so my coment is valid, because its my opinion, just like the other 1000+ post on this thread, it wasn't aimed as a personel thing at you so get off your horse!

WTG Nate on the races. I hope to get into some myself.

Me and a few buds played at our track today and had a hell of alot of fun. I kinda pushed my buggy hard today with only a couple glitches. My carb slide was binding in the idle position,"no throttle" so I had to remove the carb and free it up. I never saw what was causing it to bind, but I did fix it. I did break the rear spoiler mounting tab on one side after a nasty tumble. LOL,,, Rubber bands are awesome for a quick fix. Today I was pushing my luck over the table top jump and seriously got lucky when I made improper landings. I swear I was in any flip, roll, messed up landing, and made it through the day with nothing broken.

We had at one point 7 cars running at the same time and that is what RC'N is all about... Having fun with your friends.

Hi, just joined this forum. I`ve had my Swift for about 3 months (UK purple version) and I have really beat the crap out of it. Must say apart from the `usual` stuff, nothing has gone wrong. Pulled some good 20 foot high jumps at the local BMX track and I broke the front carbon brace and blew all four shock pistons off the shafts! fixed this with some better quality E clips. Could someone please direct me to the PRP website ?. Love my swift to bits. Literally.

show them what SWIFT can do!!!!

You can also go to the " main manufacture " that Cam and I had endless battles of Q.C. just to make things better for our U.S. market:

www.nandaracing.com

This is where everything starts from manufacturing to quality control. We've tried everything and anything to make things better for the swift, but sometimes important relavent information just goes over thier heads. Shoot them an e-mail.

I would reccomend going direct to the source. Our e-mails are ignored when we send e-mails to them. Some of their managment understands english completely, so I don't think there would be a language barrier.

So the Swift Pro kit does exist then?

still no answer on : is the hole in the front tower of the swift1 also to big ??,
and await the picture of the strawberrycoloured milled shocktower against purple UK parts

You be the judge, pictures are all of the same shock tower, calipers used on the "good" side:

swifttower2.jpg

swifttower3.jpg

I don't have any purple parts here to compare. Grape is better than strawberry!

As far as the Swift Pro goes, it will not be imported into the U.S. by Power Racing, although we have all the upgrade parts in stock right now. That box may be an old picture, I designed it in March. I'm not sure if Schumacher will be bringing it to the UK or not.

so one could order one of the first badge of fronttowers and put it on the swift2 ?????

If Schumacher still has them in stock, the old ones will definitely still fit.

FYI, the pictures above are of the newer RTR shock tower, not the new 7075 machined ones.

Why is PRP not importing the Pro? Is it do to quality issues that are not being resloved @ the factory?
