Hey cameron,

Do you need a tester for some of the newer parts. I am game to help you out and test some of the new stuff. My buggy is running top notch and I know I can put them through a great test.

I went to the KZ track today and bought up a bunch of their remaining parts. Let me know if I can help you guys out testing.

Another awesome day

Ran the buggy from about 2 to 5:30 with """""ZERO""""" damage or issues. I'm tellin ya, I ran hard with my 2 buds and we only had 1 breakage between us. A spur gear. I had to change my front tires cause I wasn't getting good grip in the turns.

We had some people watching us when my Swift and a Mugen were going at it. The look on their faces was worth the chance of pushing too hard. We were simply running awesome till I ummmmmm, barrel rolled.

What a fun day "except for having to grade the track" It's our privetly owned/made.

my front servo is DAMN GOOD... its SANWA WRX metal gears. But the TORQUE and SPEED doesn't get all the way to the FRONT WHEEL.... due to the SERVO SAVER always comes loose. How to rectify this problem? i have tighten the Servo saver spring and put some threadlock... but still the problem occurs... so always i have steering problem after a while.... can't have tight turns.... aaaarggggghhh... help me!

If you can get hold of another servo saver adjuster nut you could use the two together in a lock-nut arrangement.

Threadlock (blue/242) works for me even with the servo saver spring at maximum tension. You really need to leave the threadlock to set for 24 hours for maximum strength

I agree 100%

I must say I had a bit of the same issue this past Sunday. Quick fix for me AND,,,, I for fun, put on 2 new front tires and rocked the track. I also have to say,, My buggy is running to perfection. The steering servo I use is Hitec HS-925MG all metal speed is 0.08sec/60 Torque is 7.4kg

Good servo and strong. :2cents:

thanks for tips. but for my case... when i have the max tension on my servo saver spring .... it seems that the steering can't turn at all.... i tired to adjust the screw on top of the assembly... but sometimes the servo saver is too flimsy.... i will try to reassemble it tonite and put thread lock and LEAVE that for 24 hrs.... LOL.....maybe i need to relube the 4 bearings (top bottom left right)?

and NITROMICKEY.... what kind of QUICK FIX you did for that problem last sunday? wanna share?

My fix was just the thread locker "Blue" I was getting poor steering on left sweeps cause the saver was loosining up.

Question for you,

How is your steering when it is on a repair stand. Good/bad ??
Or does it drag when it is on the ground.
Look on your controller and check the "ST" Sub Trim. Make sure it is at "0" or you will have issues either left or right steering. Are you knowlagable with your controller and the settings ???

Also make sure that the steering knuckles are NOT NOT NOT to tight or binding due to dirt.
 
ok... now we know.. THREAD LOCK is the secret.
i noticed when i put on the repair stand... the screw will hit the upper arm thus preventing the steering to steer properly. when on the ground... it is OK.
no binding in the knuckle area... checked it...coz i done that first time!!!! now i know NOT to bind the knuckle!!!
i will reassemble the steering assembly tonite and will update.

I have the Prolux No 1807 ULTRAPEAK 2 This is a nice charger and it comes with the adaptor for big/small connectors.

AC 4-8 cell auto peak charger
Output 4.8-9.6 Dc 1.1-1.3 Amp

Has Fast and Trickle charge. Also has beeps to inform you. About 27-.. to 35.00
 
i got LRP charger.

basically to me... any charger that can tell you:
mAh - so that you know when the battery are FULLY PACKED with power
output voltage - so that you dont give TOO MUCH VOLTAGE to the pack
got discharger - so that you can do discharging properly
and fuzzy logic function...(which i dont know what the heck is that!)

is good to go.

this may sound silly, but I'm a newbie when it comes to the ins & outs of rc, i just drive them. anyway the rx pack i have on my buggy is the standerd small plug the big chargers that i have seen on here are like alot bigger, do i need to get a adptor or am i looking at ythe wrong chargers?

i have a Hitec DCX 40 FM receiver dual conversion, do i need to use a dual converion crystal or will single converion also work?
