Woohoo, my Swift is finally running pretty good. Only had front wheel drive for a while. Shimmed the diffs as per recommended here and now I'm good to go. Thanks for everyone's help.

We should all get together and have a nice tall ice cold bottle of :duff: :duff: :duff: :duff: :duff: . I'm with you Mike on that

AshleyT, let me put it this way.
My fix:play ratio with my Swift is 10:1
I love it when it perfectly working, it handles great and runs fast especially with my Novarossi P5 engine. But that is far in between pits and waiting for parts cause there are many weak links. And as they say, the system is only as good as it's weakest link.

We're still waiting on harder outdrives. The ones I had to test turned out to be just as soft as the old ones. However, the new diff gears held up flawlessly, as did the rest of the car. The new gears will be available soon. Overall, I still think it's a good start for a first car from a relatively new manufacturer.

Lots of good comments were made, and our team drivers were happy with the Swift's performance. We'll have a setup sheet available the week after next with the setup from Hemet, as well as blank ones for your local tracks.

Thanks for all your support!

Here's some pictures from last weekend.

All I can say is......................

SWIFT is an awesome 1/8th. Lets get past the """""""NEW"""""" product issues and show the tracks just who DOMINATES.

We all know ANY product needs attention prior to using. We ALL know the Swift is a NEW,,,, YOU ALL HEAR THIS<<<<<< NEW product. Changes will be made/corrected by a good team. We ALL will have parts and upgrades as needed when this NEW product gets our inputs. REMEMBER,,,,,,,,,, WE all bought a product that is very very knew to this industry.

I took this chance just as you all did.

And the cold brew issue is easy. Come to my track and have one or 3,4,5,6 on me.

wagnerov, is that a MP 7.5 body on the Swift??. I want to paint a new body for mine but are not sure which cars body will fit best without having to butcher it too much.

Thanks.

wagnerov, how did the swift do in Hemet? Did it run at par with the OFna's and Kyosho Inferno 7.5's?

FYI,

Ran my buggy today and had some serious fun. Just was out with some friends in an open area and just had fun. My buggy ran like I thought it would with an exception. I expected breakage due to my driving. I broke nothing. My day was "as good as it gets"

I think my buggy will place in the top finishers in my """"FIRST"""" ever track race. I will be doing this in the next 2 weeks or so.

I know this buggy has what it takes.

Nice one Mike, Good to see you having fun with your Swift, I'm gunna have a little go with mine I think tomorrow, Just to run the car in and tune the engine abit.

springs

Are the springs in the pictures posted above from Kyosho Inferno 7.5 Kanai edition (the blue springs on the shocks)?

I think they are, I have them on my Swift. 60wt shock oil with Kyosho blue springs. (Awsome performance on mine)..

I have Kyosho blue springs on mine too, And I have the GS Shock pistons on order.

Hey guys, I am not intending to rain on anybody's parade here, but I want to hear about how this car does on the track.
I do not buy a buggy like this to bash or sit on my shelf (thats what MTs are for), I buy a buggy to race.
I know that buggy racing is 90% driver and 10% buggy, but there has to be some pro guys here that have raced for a couple of years and have other buggy experience to compare to.
Durability is also a major concern, most Kanai's that I have seen are nearly bulletproof, sounds like there may be some issues here. Nothing worse then breaking in the A main.

Ninja Viper, I've had the Swift a week or two now, I have raced previously before and with 2 different cars, A Hyper7 Pro and a Crono RS01. I have not raced my Swift yet due to it being out of season, Infact I've not even run my car because of the same reason. I can only tell you how it compares quality and spec wise, It is better quality than the Crono and on-par with the Hyper7 IMO. Everything is nicely molded and machined and most importantly everything fits together very good (Unlike the Crono). I do believe there are a couple of issues with the car, But hold out and you can get a newer batch Swift with the updated diff design and the updated drivecups, I doubt you will have any problems with the car then. It also looks to be very durable so far, Everything is nice and chunky and it has the aluminium in the right stress areas. I think it maybe unfair with you comparing a Kanai 2 to the Swift, You could buy 3 1/2 Swifts here in the UK for one brand new Kanai 2, However, as you mentioned, Its down to the driver, And I am hoping to give a few of the MBX5's a run for there money when the summer season starts again this March.

Hope this helped you.

:OT: I need some help :flaming:
I've had my swift for a few weeks now and no matter what i do i can't get these darn pins to stay in!. My LHS and track where i bought them from dont always err never have the pins in stock. Yes i used loctite :nono:
