that really looks good and I feel bad now cause I could get my self a Traxxas E-Maxx and hopped it up instead of buying Savage Flux like I did :(

lessen you could get some pink shock socks and put over the red springs..

I just had thought of that the other day. Thanks for reminding me. I'm gonna look for some. I took all the pink springs off because I wanted my firm red springs for my TMaxx if I need them so now this truck is running all 8 stock red springs. Pink covers would look GREAT! Oh, and the pearl pink I got mixed up... nearly identical shade as the suspension arms. I'm very stoked to start working on this body.

*edit*

Sweet! I just ordered a set of Shocksocks brand covers. They're pricey, but oh well. It'll look much better with pink covers. Look like a pretty bold pink. Probably closer to the shade of the Dubro body clip holders and antenna tube. This truck is gonna be hot.

Hurry up lessen !! i got my missus chewing my ear cos you have not finished this yet !! she wants me to do a number on her rig soon and she likes what your doing sooooo much she wants a near identical copy of it !!!!!

OH Well, off to the drawing board to start making plans..........................<shuffles off sulking looking for his plain paper and sketching equipment muttering under his breath "Damn you lessen you Pain In The Ass" !>

Yeah Lessen brother we all have things in the works that get side tracked and back burner'd. But it is looking pretty cool. My 5 yo daughter really thinks it is a pretty truck. She says I should make her "A Princess RC". Yikes. It will be sweet when you get it done.

Glad you're stoked about THIS project! :p:

Oh... that one kinda hurt. Hey, it's easy when it's easy. Look at it this way... The more of these little projects I get done the closer I am to working on the big one.. which has sort of got me overwhelmed but I'm determined not to let it go. I just need to wrap up some of this other stuff so I can focus.

TTR - glad I could be of service. I'm gonna try to paint this lid this weekend. It's an easy one so it shouldn't take me too long, plus I already have the pink mixed up.

Sounds like a budding enthusiast Joe, better get to work eh ? Can't let an opportunity like that slip away now can we. LOL :hehe:

Man Lessen, it's awesome what you do, how you paint, how you build, everything. Looks great, can't wait to see the body.

Sorry man, just messin' with ya. I know what you mean, exactly. That's part of why my Aftershock hasn't progressed any. Since I messed up the paint, I don't want to hassle with the stripping and I don't want to buy another body :\
That and the Warhead came along and was easier :hehe:

dude that truck is great I'm still trying to get my girl involved, I think i got her leaned towards a rc18t when i got mine so i might try and pick up one and customize it a little for her

Finally got the shock covers. Something got messed up with the shipping and the package was returned to Shocksocks.com. He sent it back out with a couple free sets of socks since it took so long to get them. Good customer service at www.shocksocks.com

I'm just about ready to paint the body. I thought I was gonna do it this past weekend but didn't get around to it.

I didnt think that i would like the pink maxx, turns out i do! LOL

Its looking great. Got the shell for it painted yet?

Lookin' sweet Josh! I sorta like the pink myself but at the same time I don't want a pink rig :)

What tires are those? I'm sure it says somewhere back in this thread but I'm too lazy click the mouse a few times and read for it. :hehe:

Yeah, they are Mashers as Joe stated.

I actually dig the color scheme a lot. I'm pretty close to shooting color on the body but I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite paint jobs. I'm starting to realize that geometric designs are my favorite type of paint jobs. They are simple and relatively easy to do with pinstripe tape. Much like that red Mercedes M18 I did a couple years ago. That was such a simple paint job but the lines and the colors just made it look right. I think this truck will have that look as well. I attempted to mix up some flourescent pink earlier today but I need to do a test spray to get an o.k. from the boss before I use it.

Hey hey that thing is looking sa-weet. I am going to have to build the daughter one now....she thinks it is SO PRETTY. lol. She is a nut job..um...just like here mom

This threads got a lot to answer for !!

my missus had an eb4 buggy (well, still has.....minus engine, pipe and tank....CHEERS !!!) that she lost al interest in, then she got herself an XTM Rage.

NOW, she has an E-SAVAGE, and has it sitting on REVO wheels (Yes, they do fit) and all because of this thread !! guess whats next ? a PINK body, and died pink componants !!!!

Thanks lessen, i already have 2 eb4's to finish and a Revo 3.3 converson to complete, now a pink E-Savage ??? damn i got my work cut out.

Kinda flattering to know that it's encouraging other ladies of r/c around here. Paint is all she needs now.

Believe it or not fellas I'm actually finishing this today/tonight. The brand new 6-cell IB5000's showed up today. I just need to remove the Tamiya connectors and replace with Deans. I'm painting now. I can't believe it, I'm actually going to FINISH an r/c project :)
