What the heck? You removed the high speed gear? And managed to fit two batteries in there! 🤔

I’m such a lazy azz, I haven’t even tried my new shock yet… 🤪
I got a feeling today is the day tho. We got hammered with snow last night. Not much else to do. 😫

Removed the low gear. No need for it. 😜 Shift servo gone so now I could run 2 batteries if I wanted. Will come in handy if I go brushless and run 3s.
I hope those shocks work for you. Sounds like a perfect day to mess with shocks.🥶

Hmm. Thats a little shocking! ;)🤪

I am a bourbon man myself, but will have to keep my eye out for Snow 😜

With the Smasher being a monster truck, I was curious why they had a low gear in them. So this de-hopup makes sense.

Yea being able to select low/high gear is always a cool thing for a while then you realize it doesn't get used enough to justify it being there. I'm sure the people who do crawl with it love that low gear.

That's the thing, I would never use the Smasher as a crawler. I also wish they had put straight axles in it too to make it more authentic.

Yea I can't see it as a crawler but seen some crawling it on YT. Weird as they have legit crawlers.
I'm with you with the axles. I think they kept the portals so as to not need a whole new design for a monster truck. Basically bigger tires on the power wagon. Straight axles would be so cool especially in my case where I went for the "daily driver" look.

If the 24th scale scene keeps growing like it has been, maybe some day we'll get a true 24th scsle monster truck. This is the closest I have seen for a chassis, but sadly Southwest Monster Shop went out of business. I nearly cried, as I had plans to buy two of these. This is an SCX24 based kit btw...

They should have used the high speed gear as low and put faster gearing for the high speed gear. 😈 I get it tho, they are trying to reuse as many parts as possible. I’m just glad they made these in the first place! 👌

Would be you to wish for that😈😆

Furitek has a nice MT chassis. Maybe my next project.

I watched Talbot build one of those. He had to hack the front of the chassis off to get a C10 body to fit it. Poorly designed as best I can tell. You can look at it and see the front is just too long. But I may grab one one of these days and see what can be done.

Oh wait... that's for the Smasher!
I think it was made specifically for the smasher. As far as I know, no other body is made (yet) to fit it. Hopefully soon. Options are always a good thing.

They had a monster truck chassis out before the Smasher was ever released. So that one looks different.

But maybe they knew the Smasher was coming when they designed it. And the Smasher is bigger than the SCX24, so maybe that is why it fits.

Already messed up a few things on the Max Smasher body so wasn't afraid of testing things. Always thought blacking out the undercarriage would add to the realism and also better the looks in general. I think I was right...?😉

So project "Daily Driver" pretty much done, I'm just waiting on a new body for it.
Time for project "Monsta Mango". 1st batch just in.

(may use the blue driveshafts on the daily driver)
