Srarted the break in process today. Ran through 2 tanks of fuel then went to take it for a ride on the third. The truck went about 10 feet then stopped. kept running but stopped moving. I shut the truck down fooled with every wire then it was ok. Started it up and it did it again after about 5 seconds. Shut it off. Played with wires but this time I got nothin. Any ideas?

do u have the control over the servos? in other words, does the servo move when u give it throttle? and does it rev or remain idle?

if the servo responds, and engine revs up as u give the throttle, its probebly bad clutch shoes. if thats the case, ur rig were probebly made on friday night...

if the servo responds, then theres nothing wrong with any wires there.

its either the servo or the transmitter or the reciever.... hard to tell without seein it

well it seems the fail safe is the problem. as soon as the truck starts bouncin around it engages. I'm not really sure y.

I ran it around the yard a few times, flipped it a few times, and it only did it once. right now I'm sitting in a meeting at work that probably didnt need to take place. If it doesn't rain ill fool with it for a couple hours later. Worst case senario I'll replace the crap radio and its belongings with something better. Thanks for all the help guys. hopefully this problem has fixed itself.

Aa for now. I ran it around fr about 2 hours. Aside from snapping the antenna wire everything is good.

Check the batteries as they may be low and causing the failsafe to engage. A good upgrade to consider is a rechargeable RX pack for your Savage. They're cheaper in the long run and usually offer longer run times than alkaline batteries.

Alkalines don't hold up for very long with RC's. Especially when running high torque servos. That combined with the 4 aa holder that holds with springs allows for intermittent contact of the batteries when running, just makes for a tough thing to troubleshoot.

Agreed I would start with an actual rechargable RX pack and then if its still doing it Id say you may have a bad failsafe? Can you take the fail safe off and try it without or is the failsafe built into the RX?
