Don't get me wrong. I love old school SCT bodies, but the Flo-Tek Sector is calling my name. I think the Sector body lines are so much better than the Axis SC. Just my opinion as they say.

I'm not diggin' the busy paint job Pro-Line used to show off the body... camouflages/hides the bed area too much.

I wish I would have seen this body a few days ago.

Short course trucks are fun!
#makeshortcoursetrucksgreatagain

Jcon Silverado hiflow is still my go to SCT body. Looks go good. And highly functional too. Even if it's like 14 years old right now.

so racers are hell bent on ruining short course now. the only reason people run these ill handling floaty pieces of crap is because they look scale. and that's apparently out the window now. good times.
They are a blast to drive. I would guess that's why folks run them.

no they're not, they wallow around, don't react to driving inputs well, and parachute like crazy. very frustrating to drive.
i learned that when i drove a couple slashes. hated them more than any other RC iv ever driven. figured the SC10 would be better cause it's an AE based off a race platform. so i bought one. NOPE! hate it to. spent the last 10+ years trying to make it not piss me off. iv hated every shot course truck iv even driven. the only saving grace they have is that they look cool.

i like stadium trucks more than buggies. but yes i also like buggies. pre cockpit forward pancake body front wing days. and stadium trucks are ugly as hell to. cab forward, fastback chop top mohawk roof, windows in the doors, fill your pockets with rocks and walk into a lake.
and don't get me started on those mutated jelly beans they call touring cars 🤮

Ok @Littlemotor 2.0

Drive a tekno and run a body like this:

Lol. I have not experienced any of that. They are a lot of fun to me. Even the two Slash models I drove. One was a nitro, the other a 4wd electric. Both were great. Maybe you're just not a good driver? We were driving them behind our work after hours, with rolling hills, nice jumps, etc. They handled just fine for being cheap ass Traxxas RC's.

Kinda reminds me of old muscle cars. Sure, they didn't handle like a slammed road racer setup for carving corners. But even the 67 Chevelle SS I had was a lot of fun to drive. It was a swaying boat that felt like it was going to flip over on its side, but I loved it, and drove it like a madman everywhere I went. Corners and all.

Sounds like a skill issue. SCTs are tons of fun and there is only right answer.
Heck the most beginner recommended car are SCTs, hence why it is a popular class of RC. Well not in carpet offroad anymore in 4x4 terms, because people are too afraid to marshal not that heavy trucks but...

allow myself to quote myself.
You could very well be a terrible driver. I’ve had some sct bodies that just needed some vents cut in to cure the parachute issue. My losi 22s sct handles just fine, my sct410.3 is just fine, my lc12b1 with the sct body handles just fine.
To each their own.

never driven a 4x4 SCT. i typically don't like 4wd (outside of monster trucks). i have a hard time getting those to do what i want to. i have a hard time cornering with 4wd.
the slashes i drove couldn't stay upright. point, shoot, pray, crash, repeat. like pleasuring yourself with a cheese grader. amusing at first then just painful.
i used to get into uncontrollable uncorrectable tank slappers with my SC10. after a steering servo change, tire change, body change, and some suspension tuning it actually goes straight. problem is, it won't respond to subtle steering inputs. it still wallows around ignoring my minor inputs to keep it on course, then realizes oh crap you want to slightly correct course and over reacts and the process is then repeated. but it does stay upright, so it has that going for it.

iv been driving RC's for 30+ years. I'm competent. iv never had an issue with a stadium truck, 1/10 buggy, 1/8 buggy, or most monster trucks.
i just can't get a 2wd short course truck to maintain direction or not want to blow over or wheelie mid air off jumps.

awww poor baby

I had the same issue with my slash on the track before but if you do air cut outs/vents in the body it helps a TON!!! Did the cut outs on my Jconcepts body, parachuting = eliminated.
I also driven a couple teknos and having a Pro4 myself, never had any parachuting in the air and tons of air control due to 4wd. 4wd sct is totally different than 2wd. So idk why you say, I hate SCTs, but you never driven a 4x4 one so how do you know that you hate them?

after destroying the original body i put a baja bug body on my SC10. it helped a lot! but it still has a light in the nose feeling in the air that i find unsettling. still much more consistent and controllable in the air though. i tried moving the battery forward and didn't like the loss of rear grip. i was going to add weight to the nose but never got around to it. i have a Megalodon body for it as well. that should fix the parachuting issue (i hope)
