i was havin a look at the pison on my truck an it a dark brown on top carnt see the sides, is that ok or is it a sign of being cooked ?

Is it a chestnut kinda brown, or more of a black kinda brown?

If it's the latter then it's fine. If the inside of head button has the same colour kinda like this.

Then it's a sign of a close to perfect combustion.

Black is almost always a sign of to lean running.

Most fuels leave a 'fingerprint' behind. Below is a pick of an early Traxxas engine that has run very clean on Blue Thunder. If you have a transparent color, it's a sign of a very good tune.

I think you're fine.

Neobart, Rolex, thanx for the pics, helps put a worded explanation in a better context !

Neobart, nice ceiling fan !!!

Rolex, What happened to "Mr finickity Clean everything to look like new" ?? That rig looks FILTHY !!!

if you take the piston out and wipe it down the brown will usually come right off.
Just rub hard.

not a big deal
