piston & sleeve pinched??? and where???

I here of people sending out there piston and sleeve to be pinched. What does that do to piston and sleeve and where would I get it done at?

hey, i have no clue about it, but instead of making a new thread about this, I'm just gonna do it here if thats okay, well anyways , what is the whole purpose of getting your P+S pinched? is it like getting a new set of P+S's except its your same P+S? how long will the pinch last? thanks

there is a company called OSrocket.. i suggest if you want a good deal on it.. go to ebay.. and search there.. he sells his service on there for pretty cheap.. there are others out there.. but i dont reccommend them.. OSrocket has done this for a long time..

i got mine done.. and the thing came back with a great pinch..

Basically, you send it in to him.. and he restores the pinch of the motor.. to get the compression back..

Here is my personal experience..

OS RZ VO1B, got pinched.. came back, i had to rebreak in the motor of course.. had lots of compression, and actually ran cooler than when i sent it to him.. and was very fast.. didnt last as long as a new piston and sleeve though

My friend with his 8 port motor.. got it back.. with a great pinch.. didnt last very long either..

when you do a pinch.. make sure you get a new rod for the motor.. the pinch i had.. broke my crank shaft too.. but i think it was just because of the drop gate.. 3 VO1 motors broke on the drop gate that weekend..

Do you send just the p/s?

Do you do this for mare compression/power, or because your p/s is worn out?

I've seen OSrocket on ebay before, whats the price, like 20$ shipped? How long did your engine last you guys?

its not for more power.. or anything like that.. you just send in the P/S and he has it back to you pretty quick.. very little down time..
my buddies didnt last long at all..

my VO1 lasted for 1 gallon before i got rid of the motor.. and got a new one.. personally.. i am not gonna do the pinch again..

I had them do it on a 8port race last year I think it was like 9.00. I now have a P5 and a backup P/S I will send one in and use the backup till it gets back.

I had my Rbws7 pinched by Osrocket and it is like a new motor again..it had 7 gallons on it before the pinch. Now it is like a new motor. It only cost like $13 with shipping. I have heard of people getting up to 2 extra gallons from the pinch. I have about 10-14 tanks through mine and it still has about the same pinch has it did when I got it back from him. I broke the engine in for 5 tanks and then put in a new rod. The old rod was 7 gallons old and still seemed in good condition. So instead for spending $140 for P/S I spent $13. It may only last 1-2 gallons but for $13 who cares. I also put on a bigger head which means more speed and cooler engine. I also run 30% Odonnal fuel.. Also turn around was about 1 week from sending P/S to getting it back. If you have $13 to spare then I would give him a try.

i was talking to NCNITRO the other day at the Bash and he said his friend got a engine pinched and it was so tight they had to heat the engine up to 200 degrees in order to pull the engine over. i have no idea what company did it. someone will have to ask him..
