ok i just put the novak ss5800 in my tc3..I'm runing a 24/72 pinion spur and 7 cell pack my venom speed meter is reading 36mph the esc got just BARELY above air temp i want some top speed action, at the same time dont want to burn the esc up....could i run a 28/72 setup or would i be asking for trouble

also anyone know if the aluminum or superlite pinion will make much differance over the norm

man i love the ss5800... anyone thinking about it get it. you wont be sorry

thanks guys

? what # are on your 7 cell pack. The combo ratio might be a little risky you will have to check your motor after 5 minutes of running if it is to hot to maintain touching it for at least 5 seconds then it might be overgeared if so then drop your pinion @ least 2 to 3 teeth less. you night want to consider 100 tooth spur & 18-24 pinion

there 3300gp's not matched or anything, just something i bought off ebay..wow i didnt know you could buy a 100t spur

oh man but then id have to try to unglue the magnet from my 72t spur or order another one i guess...i have the 6-pack even pinions so i guess ill just try the 26t

any idea if its worth it to get the lighter aluminum pinions

For Batterys go to www.cheapbatterypacks.com if you want some matched packs & affordable pricing look for fusion. I highly recommend the aluminum pinions that's all I use & I race indoors & outdoors, look for robinson racing for spurs & pinions for specialty items for your car check out www.speedtechrc.com
