Pinched Sleeve Advice

My cordless (12V B&D) lasted about 5 minutes... then it started to smell funny. It also didn't have the RPM's the corded drill had. The higher RPM's made it a lot less of a BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG every time it turned over. Just a nice loud PUP PUP PUP PUP.

mark i am not sure to be honest i know when i sent my P/S to osrocket to be pinched he needed both but it was a bear to start with pullstart so i used my box and worked over real good and then rebroke it in

I'm pretty certain they take the piston out. Otherwise they would crush it. The difference between a new sleeve and an old worn out sleeve is only a few thousandths of an inch, if that.

definately do not pinch w/ the piston in it...thers a shaft or tapered pin that gets pressed inside the sleeve....that's what costs so much when you buy the tools to do it properly like ray does.....just for the tools ( cups & pins ) to do most rossi .12 & .21 engines cost about 700 bucks...that's not including the presses...those tools fit other engines as well but you have to check your tool specs against engine mnfgr specs.....
