  1. Bashing
So I picked up a ofna hyper10SC nitro. I hear they are eh. Tend to break things. But it seems the bashers are saying that. My bashing will be limited to grass and black top so I do not for see a lot of breaking. I am in the process of getting ready to break it in and my god ofna provides like ZERO instructions. I know it is a distributor of like ofbao or something.
Anyways does anyone have one of these?

Link to instructions from Ofna website. (I think! I'm at work and it won't download here.) The company is Hobao. I have a Hyper 8 buggy and I like it. You need to get it going any enjoy it and don't be concerned when everyone starts telling you that you should have bought whatever they did. Have fun!

now I'm just trying to get it started and it sucks!

Yep, just looked at those assembly instructions and they suck. It says nothing about starting and breaking in your engine. Can you tell me what engine is it? Is it a Ofna Hyper series and what size?

SG .18 engine
right now I got it to start for 2 seconds then quit
went through a 1/4 tank trying to start and flooding it
when the pull start gets real tight I stop and clear the flood I'm going nuts!

Set you carb per these instructions. Hi speed needle is 4 turns out. Set the low speed as specified. Remove your glow plug and stick it in you ignitor and make sure it glows. (and that you ignitor is charged up good). You only need to have the fuel line to the carb full. Don't keep forcing more fuel into it. when the engine turns over, it will pull in what fuel it needs.

I set it 4 turns out
And I'm not forceing more fuel atleast trying not to... i just keep pulling the pull start.
I did not touch the lsn as there are two needles right next to each other snd the manual says do not touch the brass one i assume the gold looking one is brass. I just dont wanns screw it up.
My glow plug is good i put the plug in using my glow igniter then screw it down with a ratchet till it is tight...
I really wanna get a roto start on it.
Also i was starting it in my room about 68f just to see if it would start in a warmer environment but as of last night no avail

Have you tried to open the throttle about 1/2 open while pulling the starter after you prime it to allow some air flow through the engine? I'm running out of ideas and if you don't get it going, I'm going to put out a help signal from the other guys here.

I had the exact same problem with a 1/10 truck I bought for my brother in law. Started for 2 seconds and died, ended up getting blisters trying to start it with the pull start.

Came here and one fine person said to loosen the glow plug a bit and once it is running to tighten it back down, I will be danged if that didn't work. Broke the engine in and now no more 2 second starts.

Try it, you will get bubbles coming out since the plug is loose but it worked for me,

I remember my first pullstart blisters.

Sent from my Pipboy-3000 in the Capital Wasteland.

This!
It said it in the directions
So i came home early from school because i was sick and decided to quietly work on the rc in my room...
Flooded it and then was leaning over the engine and pulled and boom nitro into my eye
After all that did this glow plug trick and well turned on then my mother yelled upstairs and that was the end of that.so today i will get it running... any tips fo 30* weather

When i run in 30 degree weather i usually wrap my head and put a piece of tape over half of my air filter.

wrap it with? and for the whole run or just till it is warm?
and why put tape over it and I'm talking about breakin???

well i wasn't addressing anything in the break in part of the tread just your any tips for 30* weather. Wrap the head with either an old sock or some foil to get it to temp and leave it on for entire run you dont necessarily have to do this but sometimes you need to to get motor up to temp and keep from blowin threw glow plugs and i put the tape over the filter so a little less air get thru the intake. Which is ok when the air is cold. less cold air will equal a less rich mixture

Should i do this for break in?

If your gonna break in in 30 degree weather i deff would to help the sleeve expand when the engine temp gets up like it should and not cause premature ware. But if it were me i would wait till it warms up to break in a new motor i wouldn do it with it that cold outside. I dont even like to run unless its above 50 so i personally wouldnt break one in in that weather.

Thats like another month and a half:(
Maybe in doors in a gym?
