Last sunday, my omega .26 engine has been popping glow plugs like there's no tomorrow. I went through four in a two hour time period. The engine runs strong, but it just chews through plugs.

The temps are about 240-245 or so, and I'm running white lightning, 20%. What could be the problem?

By the way, it just looks as if the coil is being destroyed. I've already disassembled the mill and looked at it thourougly to make sure they weren't in there.

how many gallons are on the engine? are you sure that you dont have one needle too rich, and one too lean? your connecting rod may be shot, this causes too much compression because it allows the piston to travel further up the sleeve than normal. the higher compression blows plugs in the way your describing.

good point...with the conrod installed, is there any wobble in it? It may be worn and need replacing.

I've also seen the glowplug coils when they pop weld there selfs in middle of the head on the underside.and when they do they will pop glowplugs within minutes.everyone you put in

Could it be that the conrod has stretched a little bit? That would affect compression, and not have a wobble...
