I am getting a nmt rolling chassis, with almost all the aluminum upgrades. You can see it here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5904194771 .
I think I am going to get the O.S. cv-r pullstart engine for it. Does this engine have enofe power for this truck? I dont realy want something too fast as I am still learning how to drive it. On the other hand I dont want a pussfyed engine. Also the $130 price is as high as I can go. I would like to hear you peeps thoughts on this.

Link fixed, thanks rob!

Link is no good.

I had the OS 15 cv-r(x). It was a good solid engine. I had it in a xxx-nt and another in a t-maxx. It was plenty of power for the nt (which was around 8lbs and only 2wd), but not nearly enough for the maxx. I'd almost want to say you would find it a bit lacking in this truck, depending on the weight. The maxx I had the engine in weighed about 12lbs. That plus the extra rotational mass of the 4wd drivetrain, just proved to be too much for that engine.

Besides, if you can shoehorn a 21 in it, I'd try to find a cheap 21.

Currently I'm running an orion wasp 18 in my maxx and it works really well. Not a constant wheelie machine, but a lot more snap than it was with the OS 15. I dropped quite a bit of weight off the maxx by making it 2wd as well. I did this with the OS in it and it was still too weak for me. I think the maxx was/is down to abou 10lbs now.

The wasp 18 can be found on tower for $90. I don't know how long mine will last, but I'm just over the 2 gallon mark and it still has pretty good compression and is relatively easy to tune.
